Blexfraptor Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 If you use a lot of your car and your mobile as a GPS, Google Assistant is a great travel companion. With it we can create navigation routes just by saying "Ok Google, take me home." However, some functions of the assistant were not optimized for Maps, being as a separate application that did not enjoy the best integration. That changes from today. The Google assistant will be less intrusive and will be less integrated from now on Maps The integration of the Google assistant in Google Maps was announced in the Google I / O held on May 8. Thanks to this integration, we can obtain much more information from our mobile using voice commands without having to touch the mobile. This is particularly useful if your car does not have Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, which is only available in the latest models. For example, when we are driving, we can now tell Google Assistant to share with a contact how much time we have left to get to a site without having to touch the phone. We can also control the music with the voice, being able to tell it to pause it or move on to the next song. Also when they call us, the call is automatically suspended, in addition to being able to even send text messages in the same way that Android Auto allows. So, all the voice commands that we use will run in the background, unlike what was happening where the Google assistant even occupied the entire screen and prevented you from seeing the navigation arrow, or forced you to interact with the mobile to go back to Google Maps. It is already available for many users with version 10.4.1 In the Google I / O, the company announced that the function was going to start arriving throughout the summer, but finally it seems that it has been delayed until this month of December. Users who claim to already have the integration with the voice assistant are in the latest stable version 10.4.1 released on November 19. The Google assistant has recently been updated to also add the option that everything has to be requested and please say thank you to educate the children to speak more correctly. Google Maps, on the other hand, also added the possibility of sending messages to companies and following the updates that are made to a business. On all these developments there is no arrival date for the Spanish version, but it should not be delayed beyond a few weeks. The display will be irregular, as Google usually does, activating the functions remotely
