Lionel Scaloni was made official by the Argentine Football Association (AFA) as coach of the Argentine national team until the Copa América of Brazil 2019.

The young coach was confirmed in the position he assumed in September to replace the deposed Jorge Sampaoli after the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
