WhatsApp releases interface for group calls

Some time ago that WhatsApp offers users calls and video calls, but later came the group calls, both voice and video. And upon arrival, no changes were made to the design of the interface. This implies that, if we want to call several, we have to initiate the call between two people, and then add other contacts. Now, however, WhatsApp is renewed and brings a new design that finally allows group calls 'from the beginning'.

For now, this new interface design is available exclusively for the beta version of WhatsApp on iPhone smartphones. But it is clear that from here will go to the stable version, and that this new format will also be taken to the Android version. Meanwhile, with the beta of iOS is the only way we have to take advantage of the improvements, from version 2.18.110.17.

This is how the new WhatsApp interface design works for group calls
Now users will find a new button for group calls; it is simply the phone icon, which we already had available, with a '+' in the upper right. Clicking on it will open the contact book, and only those who can make voice calls and video calls will appear here. When the contact book is opened it is when we can select up to three people, while it can only be a maximum of four participants and, obviously, we have to count on ourselves as a participant in the conversation.

As we mentioned earlier, the improvement in this new design of WhatsApp is that steps are now reduced. Before you had to call a person and, once you had picked up, then we could add more participants. Now, however, we can call up to three people at the same time, so you have to carry out fewer steps for a group call within WhatsApp. We do not know when this feature will be available in the public and stable version, but it should not take too long to reach all users.
