In Brazil a thief was wrong when choosing his victim. In broad daylight, he tried to steal the phone from Sabrina Leites, a 22-year-old Jiu-Jitsu fighter, who managed to defend herself from the attack and reduce the criminal on the ground with a martial arts shot.

The event occurred in the city of Manaus, capital of the state of Amazonas, in Brazil. There two people on a motorcycle approached Leites when he left his house. Noticing that they were not armed, the woman refused and threw her cell phone inside her home. The driver escaped in the vehicle, but the companion, who threatened Sabrina, had to run away.

After a brief chase, a neighbor managed to intercept him with his car. At that time, Leites, who was following the car from behind, grabbed the thief and pinned him to the ground with a movement of Jiu-Jitsu known as 'mataleón'.

The woman managed to grab the offender's arm. With that movement, he could have been able to break a bone. In the video you can see how the delinquent screams desperately every time the woman moves slightly, and begs him to stop.

Leites practices Jiu-Jitsu four years ago, although he assures that he never participated in any competition.

"I stayed almost 20 minutes with him immobilized, so he would not run away, then my cousin arrived with other people and they stayed around him, until the police arrived," he said.

The 18-year-old thief was arrested by the authorities and will have to respond to the Justice Department for attempted theft.
