Rafael Vielma.- Carlos Rodríguez and Dariana Alvarado took the third and last valid of the Open Water Gatorade Circuit, which was held at the Puerto Azul club in Vargas state with the attendance of more than 500 athletes.

A swimmers' three kilometer-long course on the beach of the club in the Naiguatá area. The absolute winners of this third valid, where the AquaSphere JFSports Cup was played, were in masculine Carlos Rodríguez with 38 minutes and 10 seconds. It was his third laurel in the same number of tests of this circuit. However, this time he had to fight with Carlos Colmenares, who was six seconds behind for second place.

In the women's category, Dariana Alvarado dominated with a time of 42 minutes and 57 seconds; but it must be taken into account that the race was won by Sofía Pascuzzo, but her time was not approved for the simple fact of being a minor and she participated in the race with a special invitation.

Rodriguez and Alvarado said they were pleased with their performance at the event, which they consider a starting point to continue challenging to improve their times.

Marlon Monsalve, manager of special events and sports marketing, said that this competition is a sign of support for disciplines such as swimming in open waters: "For Empresas Polar, Pepsi-Cola Venezuela and Gatorade, organizing this event means a great effort and is a commitment to collaborate with this sport practice. We thank Club Puerto Azul for lending their facilities to the Pepsi, Minalba and Maltin Light sponsors for their important support for the development of the event. "

The journalist Fioravante De Simone informed us that among the participants was the Swimming Master Evolution team with a group of 23 swimmers, which is a mix of swimmers from the Venezuelan Italian Center of Caracas, Suma Deportes, Centro Portugués, Casa Italia Maracay, Paraíso Naciones United. Of the groups stood out Deborah Bermúdez of Casa Italia Maracay with 47:35, who finished sixth in the general classification; while in masculine the best was Alfredo Godoy Sander with 48:42, also from Casa Italia Maracay.
