Samsung PenMaster, the first Samsung tablet, was put on sale in 1992, when neither the demand nor the software to support such hardware existed. It was a brick of 29 x 24 centimeters, with a thickness of 4.5 cm and a weight of 2.5 Kilograms. Basically, a compressed laptop. Nothing to do with the current tablets:

 

Samsung PenMaster was equipped with an Intel 80386 SL / 20 processor, 4 MB of RAM, monochrome touch screen, 60 MB hard drive, 2.4 Kbps modem, battery, stylus, and MS-DOS 5.0 operating system.

In addition, Samsung sold a series of extras for an additional price: 4 additional MB RAM, floppy disk reader, 80387SX coprocessor, external storage PCMCIA cards, fast charger, and larger battery.

Samsung PenMaster, Samsung's first tablet, sold very few units, focusing exclusively on the professional market and executives, due to its high price.

The version without extras cost $ 3,995 at the time, the equivalent of about 7,000 euros today. With all the extras reached $ 5,000, about 8,500 euros today.
