Brewers manager Craig Counsell announced his rotation Thursday
MILWAUKEE | AP.- Gio Gonzalez will start the Milwaukee Brewers in the first game of the National League championship series against the Los Angeles Dodgers this Friday night.

The Brewers chose Wade Miley to start the second match on Saturday, which means that Milwaukee opted for a lefty for the first two matches in the series. The Venezuelan Jhoulys Chacin will be in charge of opening the third match on Monday in Los Angeles.

Brewers manager Craig Counsell announced his rotation Thursday.

Gonzalez was 3-0 with a 2.13 ERA in five starts with the Brewers after arriving in a trade from the Washington Nationals.

The Dodgers have already chosen left-handed star Clayton Kershaw as their starter for the first game of the series, but have not announced the rest of their rotation yet
