Pixelbook

Pixel Slate, the rumored Google tablet or convertible that the Mountain View company is expected to present in a few days, could have dual booting with Chrome OS and Windows 10.

We know that Google's new mobiles, Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, will be presented in partnership on October 9th. What also seems clear is that they will not come alone, and analysts agree that the Mountain View are planning to show us the new devices Made by Google for next year.

One of the teams that we will probably meet in the event will be Pixel Slate, which is the newfound commercial name of a device that may sound like Nocturne, the code name that was used until now by the media.

Google Pixel Slate is a Google tablet or a convertible whose most outstanding feature that we know so far is that the keyboard is detached from the screen. It would be a team of smaller dimensions than the Pixelbook and would be specially designed to compete with the Microsoft Surface Go.

The information we used so far pointed to the operating system of the Pixel Slate would be Chrome OS, but it seems that the device will finally have dual boot that will also offer Windows 10.

This is clear from a new report published by the medium 9to5Google, which has discovered a confirmation of the development code that seems to indicate that Nocturne will have support for Windows 10.

If so, this would mean that the Pixel Slate would be the second Google team, after the Pixelbook, which would allow dual booting with Chrome OS and Windows 10. Another option could be that the Mountain View company is studying to offer Windows 10 support for certain Chromebooks soon, including the Pixel Slate.
