Diosdado Cabello, vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), said in a statement offered on Monday, October 1, that the first indigenous congress will take place on the 12th.

In his speech, he called to remember how the celebrations of this day were "they invented that discovery, the day of race, the meeting of two worlds", he also indicated that "that day began one of the greatest genocides of the history of the world, carried out by Spanish empire ".

At the same time, he mentioned that this Monday, October 1, marks another year of the murder of the young revolutionary Robert Serra.
