Honda has presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show the prototype Honda Urban EV Concept. It is a concept car that anticipates a future urban and electric model that Honda will market in 2019. This new model of small dimensions is characterized by its contained size and its new platform. In addition, this prototype Honda Urban EV Concept shows the direction that Honda will follow in terms of electric vehicles and batteries, both in technology and design. Therefore, it is not a prototype that will never be commercialized but will be sold in the year 2019.

It has a size of around 3.9 meters, which places it in the segment or category of the utilities, segment B. This model has the capacity for four people. From the point of view of design, we are struck by its angled shapes and other aspects such as the emblem of the brand with a blue color feedback, which will become a distinctive feature of the company's electric futures. Also, Honda has taken advantage of the front of the car to display multilingual interactive messages, such as greetings or advice for other drivers. Another singular aspect is that it has the socket in the front, on the hood.

Also, Honda points out that this model could have a personal assistant known as Automated Network Assistant that what it does is learn to detect the emotions behind their decisions. In this way, the car learns and according to that learning can propose alternatives and recommendations. In turn, along with the new electric model, Honda has also introduced the Honda Power Manager.

It is a system that allows the transfer of energy from the house to the car and vice versa, from the car to the house. In this way, when the home collects energy, mainly from renewable sources, it transfers that energy to the car. But in turn, the car can also transmit electricity and the user or owner could even monetize that power delivery.

In this way the Honda Urban EV is not only a vehicle of zero emissions but can also be an accumulator of energy for homes. This new model is another step in the announcement of the Japanese firm that has indicated that all models that launch Honda in Europe from 2018 will incorporate some type of electric propulsion system. Likewise, Honda has indicated that its objective is that electric propulsion systems occupy more than 60% of sales in 2030.
