- !el Catire *O* Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 Under the command of Omar Malavé, the Navegantes del Magallanes will begin training on September 17 for the 2018-2019 season of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP), in the fields of Pdvsa Vassa, in Guacara, Carabobo state. Malavé will be accompanied by third base coach, Luis Dorante, and the hitting coach, Richard Hidalgo, reviewed the LVBP in a press release. It is expected the incorporation of receivers and pitchers, as well as the presence of players who had little action during the summer. After the first week of practice, the ship will resume training at the José Bernardo Pérez stadium in Valencia, starting on Monday, September 24, where position players will be incorporated. Previous to the opening day in Valencia, scheduled for October 12 against Tigres de Aragua (5:30 pm), Magallanes will play in preseason games against the Cardinals of Lara, at the Julio Hernández Molina Bachiller Stadium in the Portuguese state, 6th and 7th October; and the Tigres de Aragua on October 8 and 9 in Valencia and Maracay. // AVN 1
