Those of Cholo Simeone prevailed 2-4 in the extension to those of Julen Lopetegui obtaining thus his third Supercopa of Europe.

 

Atlético de Madrid extended its European record on Wednesday to seven titles, with three European leagues (2010, 2012 and 2018); a Recopa (1962) and three Supercopas (2010, 2012 and 2018), more than half, four, achieved with the Argentinian Diego Simeone as coach of the Atletico club after winning 2-4 to Real Madrid in the final of the Supercopa in Estonia .

The Supercopa de Europa is the thirty-third official title of the club, of which 24 are national: ten Leagues (1939-40, 1940-41, 1949-50, 1950-51, 1965-66, 1969-70, 1972-73 , 1976-77, 1995-96 and 2013-14), ten Cups (1960, 1961, 1965, 1972, 1976, 1985, 1991, 1992, 1996 and 2013), a Champions Cup (1940), a President's Cup of the Spanish Federation (1947) and two Super Cups (1985 and 2014).

At international level, Atlético have won an Intercontinental Cup (1975), a European Cup Winners Cup (1962), three European Leagues (2010 and 2012) and three continental Super Cups (2010, 2012 and 2018).
