Barcelona won the Joan Gamper Trophy after defeating Boca Juniors (3-0) on Wednesday, in a match with little rhythm, more equal than the scoreboard reflected and in which Malcolm, Messi and Rafinha put the goals.

Valverde left with Arturo Vidal and Malcom, two of the new signings, in the starting lineup, also with Messi, with Rakitic playing Sergio Busquets, the young Miranda, of Jordi Alba, and Munir occupying the square of 'killer' of Luis Suárez .

A 4-3-3 that will be, as it seems, the header system of Barça coach this season, with Messi starting from the right but with freedom to move, as always, all over the flank of attack.

He dominated the Barça in the first minutes, although he did not shoot on goal until after the quarter hour. Coutinho, in personal play, tested the Andrade goal from the front and, two minutes later, Malcom received on the left wing of Messi and debuted as a scorer at the Camp Nou, with a dry shot after profiling the ball with his left foot.

Barça fell tense after the 1-0, and Boca began to appear in the opposite field, especially with the boarding of a skillful Villa by right wing.

However, the first two visitors came, followed, in the half hour, in two corners. In the first, Goltz pitched at the hands of Ter Stegen and, in the second, the other central 'xeneize', Izquierdoz, finished off, also headed, but deflected.

With the team of Guillermo Barros Schelotto feeling increasingly comfortable in the clash, Messi appeared between the lines looking for a wall with Munir that Goltz would end up returning in a bad clearance, to beat with a subtle Vaseline to Andrada, six minutes to the end of the first half.

In the next play, Munir stole a ball and could make the third, but this time Andrada was careful to reject his shot, first, and Malcom, then, in a double Barca occasion.

Barcelona continued to arrive with its intermittent football, while Boca, even without Tévez and Pavón on the pitch, insisted on winning the goal.

In the last play before the break he was about to get it. Villa would finish one of his classic slaloms on the right with a shot at the post. The rebound would fall on Nández's boots, but Umtiti pulled his shot on the goal line.

Valverde changed eight players in the intermission and Barcelona started with a practically new team in the second half. Barros Schelotto joined the rosary of changes and the pace of the game fell a lot after the resumption.

Only the great goal of Rafinha, with control with the chest and hat to Andrada included after tracing a precise wall with Luis Suárez, rescued the game of boredom.

Of Boca, on the other hand, there was hardly any news in this second act. Only a forced header from Izquierdoz and a hand to hand of Zárate with Cillessen very well resolved by the Barça goalkeeper and that the VAR would annul instants later out of play of the visiting striker.

In the final stretch, Vermaelen, who sent Andrada flying out of a corner, and young Riqui Puig, who crossed too much over the departure of the Argentine keeper, were about to make room for Barca.
