Since then, this model enjoys a real success today, with Bmw improving every generation as they know best. But we do not know why they have delayed so much the launch of a luxury SUV, especially as Mercedes-Benz has dominated this luxury SUV segment with the GLS since 2006. However, let's not forget others, what are the real giants in this segment: Bentley Bentayga, Lincoln Navigator, Land Rover Range Rover, Lexus LX, Audi Q7 and Cadillac Escalade. Publishers from Carmagazine have had the opportunity to test this superb SUV, right on the streets where it was assembled - South Carolina, USA. How much does it take to use the X7 in offroad ?! We think very few. The Bmw X7 guarantees smooth running regardless of road quality. Its off-road qualities are achievable thanks to an air cushion suspension that adjusts the ground clearance of the body by 80 mm, a distance between the lowest and upper levels. The attitude of a BMW X7 is definitely on the highway, its qualities are similar to a 7 Series on handling and comfort. When driving at speed and going into Comfort mode, it goes down by 20mm. In addition to luxury you have to have the right motor When launched in 2019, the xDrive30d will feature a 3-liter 6-cylinder diesel engine and another xDrive40i with the same features. This series will be extended at the end of 2019, with the arrival of the xDrive50i with a 4.4 liter gasoline V8 engine and the xDrive50d equipped with a quad-turbo engine on 3.0-liter diesel.
