Football Academy in Nanjing. The quarry of a Chinese city, has to be extraordinary for being so populous. China wants to 'make' football stars, a generation of footballers who can win the next World Cup.

Álvaro Martínez, former goalkeeper of the Aurrera of Vitoria, Lemona, Bilbao Atletic or Conquense where he decided to stay with his family and create a football school.

In 2016, he embarks on a risky adventure in China, with a project in Nanjing where he will take football to more than 1000 Chinese young people. Within a rigid education and with little time for sport, the function of Alvaro's school was to bring football closer to the next step that consisted in trying to compete.

The Chinese adventure had a round trip ticket. Last year he resigned from his post due to disagreements with the Chinese businessman who hired his services. Now, with a project that aims to bring Chinese children to Spain, they have just signed up for La Liga to develop new projects, again in China (Summer Camp 2018) and Iran.
