G.O.G Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 The Democratic Council of Syria (CSD), which acts as the political arm of the Democratic Syrian Forces (SDF), announced yesterday that it reached an agreement with the government of Bashar al Assad to sit down to negotiate an end to the civil war that affects to the country since March 2011, and prepare a road map leading to a "decentralized and democratic Syria," Deutsche Welle said. The statement was not immediately confirmed by Damascus and refers to a meeting held on Thursday July 26 in the capital of the country, following an invitation from the Government. "This meeting led to the adoption of the decision to form committees at various levels to develop dialogue and negotiations and put an end to violence and war," reads the statement. The relations between Syria and the Kurdish administration, which controls the northeast of the country, have been essential for the development of the war in Syrian territory. The parties have visions of the country that are opposed.
