The President of the Judicial Power of Peru, Duberlí Rodríguez and the National Council of the Magistracy (CNM), Orlando Velásquez, resigned from their positions this Thursday. The Full Chamber of the Supreme Court will evaluate the decision at 12:30 hours.

"Titular of the Judicial Power, Duberlí Rodríguez, presents his irrevocable resignation to the presidency of this power of the State. Full Chamber of the Supreme Court will evaluate decision at 12:30 hours "refers to a Twitter published in the Twitter account of the judiciary.

Rodriguez presented his resignation to the position by means of a letter addressed to the judge of the Supreme Court of Justice. "Given the institutional crisis that the Judicial Branch is going through, I present my irrevocable resignation to the position of President of the Judicial Power", says part of the misisva.

It is known that judges and prosecutors are involved in an alleged case of audios, which reveals the sale of sentences and influence peddling.

The scandal broke out a week ago, when the Peruvian media reported a series of serious events in the judicial system, particularly in the National Council of Magistrates, reported El Clarín.
