The African team was reunited with the victory in a World Cup forty years later.

Tunisia, with goals scored by Ben Youssef and Wahbi Kharzi, traced the initial advantage of Panama, to close the participation in Russia 2018 with a victory that deprived the canal group.

An own goal by Yassine Meriah on the half hour put the Central American side ahead, but after the break, Ben Youssef equalized in the 55th minute and Wahbi Kharzi ten minutes later.

Tunisia was reunited with the victory in a World Cup forty years later. Panama closes its world premiere with three defeats.
