The goalkeeper of the Iranian national team, Ali Beiranvand, assured Efe today that the match against Spain has the same importance as the cattle to Morocco and warned that "La Roja" will not be easy on Tuesday in Kazan.

In response to questions from Efe moments before starting the usual evening training session in the sports city of Moscow's Lokomotiv, the goalkeeper also played down the importance of the crisis in the Spanish bench.

 

"Thank God we won this first match, it is very important for us and we dedicate this victory to our compatriots," he said. "But from five o'clock on today we do not even have a single minute to celebrate, everybody knows that Spain is one of the greatest teams in the history of football and what we can guarantee is that we are not going to put nothing easy, "he stressed.

Beiranvand, who was one of the key men in the victory over Morocco on Friday in St. Petersburg with a decisive stop in the second half, insisted that the only sure plan is that the Iranians will fight like jabatos until exhaustion.

"Everyone knows that we like to compete, that we are fighters, and that we will be very focused until the last second of the game," he said. "We are in the most difficult group of the World Cup but we want to do something big, something huge, a surprise that is qualifying for the second round and we will give the best of ourselves," he said.

 

The experienced goalkeeper of Persepolis, one of the most powerful teams in the loose Iranian league, also ruled out that the abrupt departure of the Spanish coach, Julen Lopetegui, dismissed two days before the start of the World Cup, will affect the game and the options of the Red

"In a team like Spain, even if you change the coach one hour before the game, that will not cause any problems, in some cases, the captain or even some of his best players can lead the team," he said.
