Real Madrid officially announced that Julen Lopetegui (51) will take over the team's bank at the end of the World Championship in Russia, according to a press release issued by the club, writes prosport.ro.

Lopetegui is Spain's runner-up in 2016. Throughout his career he trained at Rayo Vallecano, Real Madrid's second team and FC Porto. As a player, Lopetegui has evolved both for Real Madrid and FC Barcelona, being a goalkeeper, and in 1990 he won the title of champion of Spain next to the blanco club. Before taking over the national team, Lopetegui also led the U19 and U21 selections. With both of them managed to win the U19 European Championship, respectively U21, being the only trophies obtained as a coach.
