G.O.G Posted May 12, 2018 Posted May 12, 2018 Dani Alves will not be able to play a third World Cup with Brazil. The right-back was ruled out of the tournament in Russia that starts next month due to a knee injury. The Brazilian Football Confederation confirmed on Friday that the severity of the injury makes it "impossible to summon Dani for the preparation period, friendly and, consequently, the World Cup." The 35-year-old was injured on Tuesday in the French Cup final, conquered by his club Paris Saint-Germain. The low will leave you in the dry dock for at least three weeks. Brazil will debut in Russia 2018 against Switzerland, on June 17. Alves competed in the two previous World Cups and has accumulated 107 matches with the national team since his debut in 2006.
