Juppitèr Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 The Toronto Raptors wavered at times against the Washington Wizards , but tightened when needed to beat the Washington Wizards 114-106 in their postseason debut and break a losing streak they had been carrying since 2007. In their last 10 Playoff series prior to Saturday's duel in Toronto , the Raptors had been unable to win a game 1, a series that came to an end thanks to the work of Serge Ibaka , Delon Wright and DeMar DeRozan . However, the first seeds of the Eastern Conference did not come easily. At halftime, they lost 59-55 and DeRozan and Kyle Lowry were conspicuous by their absence. Both woke up in the second half and Toronto tipped the scales in their favor. Ibaka finished with 23 points and 12 rebounds, while Wright contributed 18 points, 11 of them in the last quarter. DeRozan scored 17 points and Lowry scored 11, as well as helping with nine assists. The Raptors' last victory in a first postseason series game had been in 2001 against the Philadelphia 76ers . John Wall , with 23 points and 15 assists, was the best for some Wizards who will try to match the series in Game 2, to be played next Tuesday in Toronto . 1
