Fox< Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 (edited) Electronic devices such as computers, mobile phones, music players or Blu-ray players are a class of products that one is accustomed to handle with some time, patience and desire to take advantage of them. In the past, handling devices such as a VHS tape player or a Super 8 camcorder was more a matter of hardware than software: its owner should be limited to simply interacting with mechanical buttons distributed throughout the body of the product, accessing basic functions and unique for each type of device. Some time later it was necessary to have a system capable of operating with a machine, more or less intuitively, to respond to one or other control needs of processes and activities. The birth of the first operating system took place in the second half of the 1950s, still in the twentieth century: in 1956, a General Motors team designed the GM-NAA I / O operating system to install on an IBM computer and thus undertake a very specific function in a given activity. The creation, development and evolution of the operating systems have been basic for the approach to the particular consumer of products especially sensitive for the great consumption, as they are the computers and the mobile telephones. The operating system has made it possible for any ordinary individual to manage an electronic device without the need for technical knowledge, it being relatively easy to gain control of a visual user interface. The importance of the operating system has been closely linked to the visual presentation of data commands first, and to a graphical interface afterwards: the operating system would be the link between the machine and man. In the field of PCs, MS-DOS, Linux, IBM OS / 2, MS Windows, and the first Mac OS X operating system were the first operating systems most widely known by the public. leading, in homes around the world is Microsoft Windows, which was born in 1985. MS Windows is the operating system that has most contributed to the management, understanding and use of a computer by a person, either in the development of their professional activity or in a more domestic function aimed at entertainment. The operating system is the software that governs a machine, the set of processes that determine what you see and what you want to do a device with every action that the user performs. The operating system is the base on which programs are installed that will allow a person to retouch an image with Photoshop, prepare a presentation with Office, listen to music with iTunes, record a DVD with Nero or watch a movie with VLC. The operating system is responsible for a technologically complex device can be a simple tool in its use, fulfilling a prominent utility in the daily life of people. Modern and more common operating systems, such as Windows 8 for PCs or Android on Smartphones, are crucial for society to communicate and can take advantage of the digital world and access to services accessible from the Internet. The constant evolution of these systems of government has made possible the use of several technologies integrated in the same device: this is the case of smart mobile phones, which are a combination of music player, digital camera, electronic agenda, game console, manager email and video player. In the field of mobile telephony, the adoption of an advanced operating system has been especially sensitive, as it has allowed to use a cell phone with hands, organize large amounts of information through mobile applications or manage and share files. The adoption of Google Android as operating system has marked and multiplied the advantages of having a mobile phone in a pocket, not only as a communication tool, but as useful for accessing information and pure personal entertainment. In mobile telephony, the operating system has had a critically relevant role in the use of these portable electronic devices for multiple functions: a person can buy a phone only having to take into account the technical characteristics of the product. It has passed proprietary operating systems, unique and designed by each brand; to standardized operating systems, which come installed on several brands of mobile phones (or Smartphone). Google Android is the major operating system in the second decade of the 21st century, which runs under user interfaces adapted by brands such as Samsung, HTC, LG or Huawei.
