G.O.G Posted August 9, 2017 Posted August 9, 2017 Real Madrid gave a new show of power by extending its dominance in continental football on Tuesday with a 2-1 victory over Manchester United for the European Super Cup. The Spanish team came out much more determined in attack in the beginning of the match and dominated the actions, curling United, and was close to scoring twice in the first 20 minutes through Gareth Bale and Casemiro. Madrid opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, when Casemiro hit a cross from Daniel Carvajal's cross from behind the entire United defense. At the beginning of the second half, the cast "Merengue" once again cornered their rival. After warning the 48 through Toni Kroos, put the 2-0 in the 52 when Isco scored after a great wall with Bale. United took the 62 with Romelu Lukaku to take advantage of a rebound of Keylor Navas. After the goal of the "Red Devils" the game gained in intensity and was made back and forth, with options of goal before the two arcs. Bale was close for Madrid and Marcus Rashford for United.
