The Government of Panama announced today that reduced from 180 to 90 days stay in the country as tourists of the citizens of Nicaragua, Colombia, and Venezuela, in the framework of a policy of tightening of controls on entry and stay of foreigners.

"The measure will be focused on reducing from 180 to 90 days the permission to stay as a tourist" of these three countries, "and ensure they have the income to certify that come as such", announced Friday the President of Panama, Juan Carlos Varela.

The order of migration will be formally adopted next week by the Ministry of Security, which also harden the controls to monitor the criminal histories of those foreigners that enter in the country.
