The President of the United States, Donald Trump, said today that he will do "whatever it takes" in cooperation with other countries of the continent to "fix" the humanitarian situation in Venezuela, which he described as a "disgrace to humanity".

"The problem in Venezuela is the worst we have seen in a long time in humanitarian terms. It is in a very poor state and the United States joins its voice for the freedom of this country."
