FearLess Posted March 8, 2017 Share Posted March 8, 2017 Switzerland - Mercedes-Benz has unveiled some interesting models at the 2017 Geneva motor show this week. The German automaker presented its X-Class bakkie concept, the facelifted GLA (which now sports a new diesel engine) and Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet. Wheels24 correspondent Alex Parker managed to corner Ola Källenius, head of research and development Mercedes-Benz cars, at the show. SA-bound X-Class bakkie and more Mercs previewed Källenius shares the company's vision for motoring which centres around its CASE philosophy; Connected cars, Autonomous vehicles, Shared mobility and Electric drive. Källenius said: "CASE is an acronym we use to describe four of the mega trends in the auto industry. We believe that these trends are transforming the auto industry and will change the face of the industry in next 10 years." Watch the video below The concept X-Class “powerful adventurer” illustrates that the future X-Class will possess all the strengths of a traditional bakkie - “tough, functional, strong, and with off-road capability”. The Stylish explorer goes a step further and shows what will distinguish the bakkie; style, sporty design and all the trimmings we’ve come to expect from a vehicle bearing the Mercedes star.
