Alexis Sanchez has worried anxious Arsenal fans by posting a picture of himself appearing to be stranded up a tree during the adverse weather conditions created with Storm Doris. The Premier League's top goalscorer has proved a pivotal part of Arsenal's season so far, scoring 20 goals in all competitions in an otherwise disappointing campaign for the Gunners. Understandable then that Arsenal fans are worried the 28-year-old will injure himself after posting a picture of himself climbing a tree in London.

"Better not hear that you fell off the tree before the next game!" one fan wrote on Instagram. "Don't get blown away we need you," added another, while one supporter was clearly very annoyed with the striker's risky extra-curricular activity: "Get down off that tree before ya hurt yourself ya clown we need ya!" Concern for the star forward was only heightened by Storm Doris, which has been battering the United Kingdom with 80mph winds.

Alexis Sanchez is yet to commit his long-term future to Arsenal after a disappointing season in the league and in Europe. The former Barcelona forward only has 17 months left on his current contract and, with a Champions League exit at the hands of Bayern Munich looking an inevitability, it's likely he could review his future a the end of the season.

“I definitely feel like an important player, and my team-mates let me know every day,” Sanchez said in an interview with Arsenal's official YouTube channel. “I try to prove that I am an important player every day and game after game. “I believe we have the players and the quality to win many things. I feel really happy and comfortable at the club. I want to give the fans a new title."
