The final of the Copa del Rey between Barcelona and the Alavés will be played the next 27 May at the stadium Vicente Calderon Madrid, said on Monday the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).

"The Board of Directors of the RFEF, gathered today in the City of Las Rozas Football, has decided that the end of the Championship of Spain/Glass of HM The King, which will be held on 27 May between FC Barcelona and Deportivo Alavés SAD, in the Vicente Calderon Stadium in Madrid".

This is the second time which the Calderon is host the Cup final, after the last year which won Barcelona.

In the last days had speculated with various possibilities such as the San Mamés Stadium of the Athletic Bilbao, who wanted the Alaves, or even the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

In the first case, the Basque club had communicated the inability to host the final for the celebration of a concert of the American group Guns N'Roses.

In the case of the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, the white president Florentino Pérez, stated that in these "cannot play the cup final because there are works. We have to comply with the license".
