(shutterstock.com/VanderWolf Images/File) Jakarta is slated to host an automotive exhibition from Feb. 23 to Feb. 25 at the Jakarta Convention Center in Senayan, Central Jakarta. Aside of shopping for automotive parts, visitors of AutoPro Indonesia can also expect to expand their network by engaging with other buyers, distributors, agents and retailers in the industry. Involving more than 200 local and international brands, the exhibition will feature a variety of products and services, such as collision repair, modification, tools and equipment, accessories, multimedia, audio-visual technology, tuning and performance. It will also display lines of cars that have been modified using aftermarket components, according to kompas.com. “Modification is part of the development of the aftermarket component industry; they influence each other,” said Lia Indriasari, the president director of Nine Event, one of the event's organizers. The exhibition is also set to host the Top 30 Modified Cars competition in collaboration with the National Modificator and Aftermarket Association (NMAA). “This competition allows automotive enthusiasts to experience real interaction and competition from different types of cars,” said the association's founder, Andre Mulyadi. Other activities scheduled for the event include the annual Indonesia Authorized Trimmer Summit (IATS) that plans to establish new Indonesian standards for car interiors, a sticker workshop and an event called Bring Back the Old Days, which will feature top figures of the car modification business in Indonesia.
