G.O.G Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 The discussion about whether Intel or AMD processors are better is eternal. Both chip makers have many followers, who constantly expose their pros and cons. All of them may surprise them by the possible agreement between both companies, and that Intel and AMD are thinking of joining to develop the new Radeon graphics cards. Intel is mainly focused on the development of processors, especially the well-known i3, i5 and i7. AMD also has some weight in terms of graphics thanks to the Radeon. These components were added to its portfolio following the acquisition of ATI. Now, Intel could delegate the making of graphics cards to its main rival, creating a corporation half that many may seem unnatural. To carry out this partial fusion between Intel and AMD, it would be necessary to first separate ATI from the second. In this way, Intel would cede the manufacture of the graphics not to a rival, but to a subsidiary company. Thus, the graphics would be called ATI Radeon once again. The sources from which this leak comes from have been able to know thanks to their contacts in both firms. In addition, they wield layoffs at Intel as one of the signs of outsourcing the entire company graphical division. If confirmed, it would shake the market for computer components. Now that the gaming is fashionable and save a few euros by putting computers in pieces, the arrival of a new generation of graphics will interest and much to all lovers of computing. The news comes just as the Las Vegas CES is about to take place, where we are expected to hear about Intel's new Kaby Lake processors, which will have an opposing signature on AMD's next generation processors. That the two companies are considering collaborating to make graphics cards does not mean that they want to put aside their rivalry in the sector of the chips. The war is served, although from now on they may be watched even more closely. Quote
