Following the launch of Surface Pro 4 at the end of last year, it is time for Microsoft to dare to renew its hybrid range of devices with a possible Announcement of Surface Pro 5 that was expected throughout this year but seems relegated until 2017. From Microsoft they would be making time to launch their new Surface Pro 5 to match the Redstone 3 update for Windows 10, but while that has already appeared the first rumors about the Surface Pro 5.

The first rumors of Surface Pro 5 ensure that we will be facing a convertible device that could support the Kaby Lake processors with all the advantages that this entails. In this way Microsoft could adopt the Kaby Lake Intel Core i5 and i7 processors for its Surface Pro 5. Being able to opt for one of the Kaby Lake processors would save considerably the battery since they are more efficient in this sense.

Another of the new features of Surface Pro 5 would be the increase of storage capacity up to 512GB compared to the 256GB of Surface Pro 4. It would not rule out an increase of the resolution to the 4K, something that makes possible the Kaby Lake processors, although In view of Microsoft's pricing policy is unlikely to happen, at least in the next iteration of the Surface Pro. Finally the Surface Pro 5 could also benefit from Type C USB ports, Thunderbolt 3 high-speed port and Up to a new Rechargeable S Pen wirelessly.

This hybrid tablet will be born to compete with the new iPad Pro, which Apple also plans to announce for the next few days and that would be launched before this so-called Surface Pro 5. The Redstone 3 update for Windows 10 is intended to unify all Windows platforms, Including Hololens, his commitment to augmented reality.
