Devolz Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 The Swedish vlogger and video game commentator, real name Felix Kjellberg, has the most-subscribed account on YouTube, with over 49 million loyal viewers following his video exploits. Known for his over-the-top delivery and loud, flamboyant commentary, PewDiePie has racked up an astonishing 13 billion video views and was eve named one of ‘The World’s 100 Most Influential People’ by Time magazine. But all is not well with the shouty Swede, whose love him or loathe him appeal has divided opinion among YouTube users. The surprise success story uploaded a video on Friday revealing his intention to quit YouTube when he hits 50 million subscribers. With a current total of 49.5 million followers, fans are concerned that the personality’s account will be gone soon, while his critics have all hit subscribe in a bid to push him up to the 50 million figure. Claiming that changes to YouTube have ruined the video sharing site, Felix vented his fury at site bosses who he claims have tried to kill his channel. The loudmouthed vlogger accused the site of promoting clickbait and burying his videos further down than they should be in other people’s feeds. However, as angry as he is, the gaming icon isn’t actually planning to quit YouTube — he just wants to start again with a new channel after deleting his existing one. The announcement prompted thousands of comments from fans and critics alike, with detractors pouring into the comment section to urge people to subscribe to the divisive “comedian”. 1 Quote
