Have you made a purchase on Amazon or are you ready to do it soon? Then be careful because a false e-mail campaign has been detected against the customers of the e-commerce giant.

According to information from the ESET security firm, the false message informs the victim that an error has occurred in a purchase order and invites access to a link to solve the problem. However, although the page to which it replies replicates the Amazon design, it is a fake website that has no link with the company.

Here, the user is asked for the credentials, and in case of being introduced they will remain in the hands of the cybercriminals. The deception is well elaborated, because to give credibility to the process, once the keys have been written the navigation is directed towards the official page of Amazon. In this way, it is possible that the victim does not know what happened.

Remember that such attacks are the preferred strategy for cybercriminals to steal data, so it is important to be aware and to be suspicious of suspicious communications that arrive in your inbox.

If you want to avoid being a victim of a phishing campaign, never follow a link that reaches you by email that leads to login pages, and write your passwords only on official websites. As an additional measure, check the status of your bank accounts very often and promptly advise your bank against any movement that you find strange.
