G.O.G Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 According to reports, Suzuki has given the IM-4 MINI Crossover the green light for production, with sales expected to begin in 2018. According to a source quoted by Auto Express, the IM-4 is almost ready for production and will undergo very few changes in terms of style compared to the Geneva car concept. The iM-4 retro style pays homage to the Suzuki SC 100 Whizzkid Coupe of the 1970s. The IM-4 will have an initial price of about £ 11,000 ($ 17,225) in the UK and will be offered with two- or four-wheel drive. The range of engines will include the naturally aspirated 1.2-liter Dualjet and the new Boosterjet turbocharged 1.0-liter petrol engines. A smooth or full hybrid model can also be considered. When it goes on sale, the IM-4 will sit next to the new Celerio city car at the lower end of the Suzuki range. Despite speculation and similar dimensions, the Suzuki iM-4 will not replace the Jimny, which will continue to be sold until at least 2018 before new model arrives with a different look, but based on a similar ladder chassis with Permanent four-wheel drive. Only competitor of the iM-4 in the A-segment will be the Fiat Panda 4 × 4. Quote
