AirSelfie, the dron that looks like a phone for your selfies

AirSelfie represents the latest breakthrough in the race to market the best product for our selfies, given the boom that this fashion seems to be having in society. It is a small dron that fits in the palm of your hand and has its own casing, which could perfectly be that of a phone, with which you can store or charge your battery.

Perhaps for many the autonomy of three minutes of flight that grants its battery may seem little, but the truth is that it is a time more than enough for the intended use. The goal is to avoid using sticks for selfies, or having to adopt weird poses to try to fit everyone in the photo while showing the landscape.

This small dron can be controlled, as explained in the official video, through an application available for iOS and Android devices, reaching a height of up to 20 meters. Once you locate the dron in the desired position, it will remain fixed in the air, regardless of whether we use it indoors or outdoors.

It has three flight modes that offer different control options, the first being the Selfie mode, which offers a single button to zoom in or out of the dron, and Selfie Motion Control adds a virtual joystick to fully control its position ; All this using the terminal in vertical position.

If we put our phone in horizontal position we will access the Flight mode, which will turn the screen into a knob to fully control the dron's movements. In any of the three cases, once we find the desired position and we stop pressing any of the controls, AirSelfie will remain still waiting for the photo.

Once you have done this, you can take the dron with your hand without fear, and this will recharge in 30 minutes. It has an integrated 5 megapixel camera capable of recording HD videos, although clearly this is not its main function unless we want to obtain videos of short duration.

So far his funding campaign on KickStarter has managed to raise 15,000 euros from the 45,000 needed. The price of AirSelfie will leave, at least for the duration of its financing, the 179 euros including the case and the microUSB cabling to charge it, although the photographs will be directly on the phone through the official application.
