G.O.G Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 Seven migrants were killed and a hundred missing after a new wreck of an inflatable boat off the coast of Libya, Médecins Sans Frontières announced Thursday that it rescued 27 survivors with its Bourbon Argos boat. "The 27 men on board the Argos were in a boat with 130 people. They are the only survivors. This tragedy is unbearable, "MSF wrote on Twitter, explaining that it also carried aboard the bodies of seven victims. On Monday and Tuesday, two similar wrecks in the same area left 11 dead and 230 missing. Since Saturday, 3,200 people have been rescued in the area, according to an account of the Italian coast guards, who coordinate operations. This figure represents the equivalent of the total registered in all the month of November last year and confirms, after a record month of October, the high rate of departures despite the poor navigation conditions. Traffickers typically carry between 120 and 140 people, sometimes more, in each inflatable boat, which is often flooded with waves and can deflate or sink very quickly. Quote
