FearLess Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Wayne Rooney is set to miss Manchester United's game with Chelsea on Sunday after picking up an injury, according to reports. The Red Devils’ skipper suffered the injury in training and has not traveled to London with the United Squad, according to Sky Sports. Rooney has been a substitute in United’s last three Premier League games after receiving criticism for his performance in their defeat at Watford. Meanwhile, Rooney took advantage of his break from playing to poke fun at former United and England teammate Michael Owen after the former Liverpool striker tweeted his support for the Reds ahead of their Saturday clash with West Brom. Owen posted a picture from Anfield and a message willing Liverpool onto a victory that would have seen them go top the table. Rooney was quick to reply poking fun at his friend, questioning where his loyalties actually lie. Owen scored 158 goals in 297 games for Liverpool before leaving Anfield for Real Madrid in 2004. He returned to England in 2009, signing a two-year deal with United, during which time he won his only Premier League title. Quote
