FC Barcelona 1-1 Atletico Madrid (Angel Correa cancels-out Rakitic first half strike)

Defending La Liga champions Barcelona hosted Ateltico Madrid in the league on Wednesday night and it turned out to be another classic encounter between these two spanish giants. Barcelona dominated with massive possession and it took best part of 45 minutes to open the scoring thanks to Ivan Rakitic goal in 41st minute. Atletico however bounced back with a superb goal of their own thanks to Angel Correa after the half time to make thins interesting.

41′ 1 – 0 Ivan Rakitic scored just before the break to put Barcelona 1-0 in lead.
61′ 1 – 1 Angel Correa scores 15 minutes into the second half as Ateltico found a way back into the game.

Barcelona vs Atletico Madrid Preview: Barcelona has bounced back from that surprise 2-1 defeat against Alaves in prime fashion having scored 12 goals in two matches. Trio of Messi, Neymar and Suarez has been finding the net regularly and they will be confident of a better showing against Atletico who knocked them out from the Champions League last season. Atletico themselves has turned things around after their two back to back draws in the opening two games and now they are a on a three game winning streak but only conceded 1 goal so far.
