Rotherham have signed forward Dexter Blackstock on a three-year deal, subject to the approval of the Football Association and EFL.

The former Southampton striker joins the Millers following his departure from fellow Sky Bet Championship outfit Nottingham Forest.

Blackstock, 30, spent seven years at the City Ground, making over 150 appearances for the club, and becomes manager Alan Stubbs' 14th summer signing.

Stubbs told the club's official website: "I am delighted to conclude the deal.

"This is one that we were trying to conclude before the deadline, but due to negotiations that Dexter was having with his club at the time, there wasn't enough time to conclude the deal."
