For years, Apple allows users of its machines (iMac, MacBook, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, Mac Pro, Mac mini) to install Windows via Boot Camp feature. The latter then selects its operating system at startup. Boot Camp is not a process of virtualization and does not allow to run both operating systems (OS X and Windows) simultaneously.

Apple sticks to the news by performing an update to Boot Camp. This version 6 now allows installing Windows 10, Microsoft's latest operating system launched on 29 July. 6 Boot Camp hosts all drivers for all functions and all the devices work with Windows 10 (USB 3.0, USB-C Thunderbolt, memory card reader SD / SDHC / SDXC, keyboard, touchpad Force Touch ..

The new Boot Camp 6 is only available for Macs running Yosemite and will be automatically offered for download in the updates.

On its US site, Apple provides a list of its machines compatible with 64-bit Windows 10
