Microsoft Kinect – Soon On PC

 

Once hackers have taken the first initiative to adapt to PC drivers using the Xbox Kinect controller, behold Microsoft formally announced an SDK, available since this spring.

The news is not exactly new, compatibility with the Windows platform is already announced at CES, although CEO Steve Balmer.

Meanwhile various adaptations of drivers circulating the internet almost since its launch Kinect controller for the Xbox. Installing this driver is not without problems and without official support from the parent company functionality offered pretty much leaves desired.

Microsoft hopes Kinect legitimizing the driver using the Windows platform will allow software developers to give free rein to the imagination, finding new ways to use motion sensor technology to interact with various equipment and applications.

It seems that the initiative taken by Microsoft goes beyond the realm of gaming, the company encourages the use of Kinect and controller for activities in education, health and entertainment.
