Oscar, 23, was rested against Stoke after starting the previous 11 games before facing Mark Hughes’ Potters. Chelsea beat Stoke 2-0 thanks to goals from John Terry and Cesc Fabregas in what turned out to be quite an easy win despite the home side having much of the possession. The Blues did not really feel very threatened and the Potters could not muster many great chances as Chelsea secured their place at the top of the Premier League for Christmas Day. He, Fabregas and Diego Costa has linked up perfectly to provide some magic moments so far this season so his recall will be great for the Blues. Not to mention just how fresh he’ll now be. Also, the recall to the side means that Mourinho could rest any one of his midfielders now with Oscar able to play in a variety of roles in midfield. Oscar has created 25 chances in 14 appearances in the Premier League this season.
