Using the MK7 Golf Estate as a platform, VW has increased the ride height, added body cladding and toughened up the underside. Four-wheel drive is fitted, while the Alltrack is available with the 177bhp 1.8 TSI petrol, 1.6 TDI diesel and punchy 2.0 TDI in two power outputs.
