'Queen Charlotte: A Story of the Bridgertons' Cinemanía 'The Bridgertons', the Netflix original series, is in the top 1 of the most watched fictions in Spain with the recent premiere of the third season 'Bridgerton: Reina Carlota'. Only a few days ago this spin-off came out and led the ranking of this platform as the most po[CENSORED]r. This historical romance series is based on Julia Quinn's bestselling novels of the same title, set in the competitive world of Regency London high society. As is typical of Netflix, each season has eight episodes. But if you have not yet entered the world of 'The Bridgertons', you still have time to catch up with the episodes and discover the true world that surrounded Queen Charlotte. If, on the other hand, you are a fan and have passed the marathon of the series, there are many curiosities, anecdotes and scenes that hide surprising secrets that you probably did not know. But this article is aimed at all audiences: whether you have seen the series or if you want to delve into it, take note of all these curiosities that cannot go unnoticed to better understand the history and customs of the Duke of Hastings, Anthony Bridgerton , Daphne or Penelope Featherington and the entire universe that surrounds 'The Bridgertons'. 1. Julie Andrews voices Lady Whistledown The po[CENSORED]r actress Julie Andrews, known for playing the iconic babysitter, Mary Poppins, or starring in the unforgettable The Sound of Music, is the voice of Lady Whistledown in the original version of the series. Andrews plays an important facet that, how could it be otherwise, is already an important symbol of 'The Bridgertons'. 2. There are two insects very present In the first season there are two insects that have a lot of weight in 'The Bridgertons' and each one hides a powerful meaning: butterflies and bees. Have you noticed it? The butterflies refer to the Featherington family and are present both in Penelope's dresses and on the stairs of her house, a symbol of gradual social growth. The bees, on the other hand, refer to the Bridgerton family, very present in sets and costumes. The meaning they have is the power enjoyed by the family.3. Queen Charlotte does not exist in the novels Queen Charlotte, played by the celebrated actress Golda Rosheuvel, does not appear in Julia Quinn's novels. Therefore, the decision to incorporate it on the screen was thanks to the producers and writers of the series. The team let it be a good idea to have a monarch in the presence, based on a real historical figure, Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz. 4. Princess Diana's estate, inspiration for Bridgerton House As he conceded to Chris Van Dusen on his own social networks, "the interior of Bridgerton House was inspired by my visit to Althorp when I was developing the series. Elegance. Opulence. And that #staircase." The iconic estate where Princess Lady-Di spent her teenage years. 5. Each family wears specific colors in their wardrobe The wardrobe of the series hides a certain meaning with the colors, since the different families wear suits and designs that follow a certain color range. In the case of the Bridgertons, they usually wear light, neutral or pastel colors, alluding to a higher social class, conveying elegance and fortune. The Featherington family, on the other hand, wear a wardrobe of more remarkable and striking tones. In addition, the wardrobe team is made up of more than 200 people who spend many hours a day creating each look. What's more, counting the accessories of the actors and actresses, a total of 7,500 pieces were created for 5,000 different outfits. 6. Characters with feminist winks A remarkable element for a series set in the 19th century is the nod to certain feminist approaches. But whose idea was this? How could it be otherwise, the leader was the author of the novel, whose intention was to provide the historical series with a modern touch. 7. The real Queen Charlotte was very social It is no coincidence that one of the most representative characteristics of Queen Charlotte is someone who is always alert and aware of everything. "She was definitely part of the Regency-era social scene, so having her with us was important from a historical perspective as well," Chris Van Dusen told ET Online. 8. Interior design and its link with Lady-Di In addition to the fact that Princess Diana's estate was a source of inspiration for the Bridgerton house. Another point that few know is that the interiors of the 'Bridgerton' family house are inspired by Althorp, the home where Princess Diana grew up. The finishes and all the details have a justified reference since nothing is represented without a foundation. 9. Not everything is historically real According to the producer and screenwriter Christ Van Dusen in an interview with The Daily Express: "We honor history, of course, but we are not obliged to it. Even though we are set in the 19th century, we wanted things to feel close. We wanted them to the public would see themselves reflected in these characters". Therefore, if you are a movie buff and do not lose detail of the 'Bridgerton', you will notice some historical discrepancies. 10. Queen Charlotte's hair was inspired by Beyoncé The monarch queen Carlota will change some outfits of the queen of music Beyoncé. "When I researched Queen Charlotte and found out she was of African descent, it gave me so much more scope to create her beautiful looks," Marc Pilcher told Vogue. As the series' stylist told Essence, "I was sorting through some images and then I saw Beyoncé Knowles in Austin Powers Goldmember and that's when I thought, 'That's what I want.' I wanted the biggest afro anyone had ever seen." Link: https://www.20minutos.es/cinemania/series/bridgerton-curiosidades-serie-triunfa-netflix-5126460/

The 'Nerazzurri' team won the first leg of the Champions League semifinals with goals from Dzeko and Mkhitaryan (0-2) Milan improved in the second half and shot at the post, but missed Leao's loss in the last third of the field Inter hit Milan first and forcefully in the Champions League semifinals (0-2). In a sweeping start, Dzeko and Mkhitaryan scored twice in three minutes. And they were no more because Çalhanoglu ran into the post and the VAR denied a penalty on Lautaro. The 'rossonero' team went further after the break, they even shot at the woodwork, but they lacked balance and the 'nerazzurri' managed the income without excessive shocks. San Siro recovered for one night the capital of European football. Between the nostalgia for the golden age of 'calcio' and the hope of stepping on the penultimate ladder of the Champions League more than a decade later, Milan and Inter were measured in the first round of the 'Derby della Madonnina'. The atmosphere gave goosebumps. Absolutely full, noise and color in the stands, painted as the flames of hell and a huge 'rossonero' devil dominating the north end. Paradoxically, green was hell for Milan in the first half. Faced with the loss of his most unbalanced striker, Leao, Pioli reinforced the midfield and relied on the defense, his credential until the semifinals. But it was his theoretical virtue that condemned Milan. At the first substitution, Dzeko gained position in the box from a corner to Calabria and stretched out his leg to nail Çalhanoglu's twisted cross into the corner. Inter did not give time to reply. The 0-2 fell in a play of tiralineas. Dimarco traced the left bank and crossed to the front, where Lautaro let the ball pass to open the goal for Mkhitaryan. The Armenian stood alone against Maignan and beat him with a centered shot. The Milan was a flan. The ball burned him and each 'Nerazzurri' arrival threatened to be final. Çalhanoglu smashed a shell into the post and Maignan, in the subsequent action, kicked out Mkhitaryan's shot from point-blank range. Such was the fragility that Lautaro, in a throw-in, forced a penalty slipping between Tomori and Kjaer. Milan, now without the injured Bennacer, was lucky this time and the VAR denied the punishment. The 'rossonera' reaction, hinted at the edge of the recess, is established after the holiday. Brahim and Messias opened it with two excessive cross shots. Inter crouched. And those of Pioli, without Leao, lacked resources. With more heart than head, they can close the gap on a shot from Tonali to the post. Although, if it hadn't been for Maignan's quick exit against Dzeko, he could have also received the finishing touch. The marker did not move. Inter struck first. During the years of expansive monetary policies (low interest rates and large stimuli), the financial economy was accused of living in a parallel reality to that of the real economy. Stock markets and bonds were at record levels, interest rates were historically low and bank stress was non-existent. On the contrary, during that period, the real economy was barely growing, salaries were stagnant during and the labor market did not finish fueling. Today, the situation seems to have reversed, something that at first might even seem positive. If the real economy works, what does the financial one matter, many citizens will wonder. Today, the economy is apparently strong, wages are rising (although consumers are losing purchasing power), and labor markets are showing strong data. However, the financial pipes are on the brink of collapse. Can the real economy survive without the help of the financial? Recent economic data has painted a relatively positive picture of business activity in most developed countries. For example, service sector PMI data for April points to expansion at the fastest pace in a year, raising hopes/expectations that a sharp and longer economic slowdown can be avoided. Looking only at the real economy, the odds of a recession or even a single quarter of contraction appear to have dropped substantially since last winter, thanks to the jobs, GDP and PMI data. However, the financial pipes present an advanced state of deterioration. When the pipes break and the water does not reach its destination... we have a problem. credit dries up On the one hand, there is the uncertainty and contraction of credit as a result of the bankruptcy of several banks in the US. Although the prices seem to have stabilized in recent days, when a bank falls, the contagion effect is a real risk whose mitigation is extremely difficult, since depositors and investors are encouraged to move their money to safer places due to many messages of calm launched by the Fed. Although the crisis seems to be solved after each resolution (SVB, Signature Bank, First Republic...), the truth is that fear simply jumps from bank to bank until a great firewall is established. The regional bank is reeling "The recent bankruptcy of First Republic bank has shown that the ripples of the banking crisis have moved through the financial sector and, at the time of writing, it appears that California-based PacWest could be the next victim." they say from the British think tank Center for Economics and Business Research (Cebr). The words "credit tightening," "credit crunch" and "credit crunch" are increasingly appearing in conversations among institutional investors, Tan Kai Xan, an analyst at Gavekal Research, said in a note to clients. The macro concern is that US companies will respond by cutting their capital spending and cutting back on hiring. Therefore, "as credit tightens and becomes more difficult to obtain, bankruptcies in the US can be expected to increase, which will cause the labor market to weaken and growth to evaporate," adds the Gavekal economist. Investigation. deposit leak "While JP Morgan's acquisition of First Republic Bank has eased fears in the banking system, deposits are expected to continue to flow out of US banks, especially after the Fed stood firm on rate hikes last week. That move increased the incentive for depositors to move their savings into higher-yielding money market funds," warns Kai Xan. Assets most closely tied to the Fed's effective interest rates see their yields rise almost immediately, while banks are unable to keep up. This situation forces affected banks to borrow wholesale at more expensive rates and, on the other hand, to sell assets to reduce their balance sheets in an attempt to maintain balance. "The net effect will be lower credit creation and a tougher contraction. Things are unlikely to improve until the Fed starts cutting rates, but that's unlikely to happen until the US hits recession, which will be another headache for the banks," says Tan Kai Xan. Europe and the UK trail behind the US It is true that, so far, the UK and European banks seem to be less affected or exposed to what is happening, with the exception of Credit Suisse. "However, under the surface there are signs that banks on both sides of the Atlantic are reacting to the new economic environment, becoming more cautious and reducing new lending, to the detriment of the real economy," Cebr experts warned. Central bank surveys Also, much of the damage has already been done. The latest data on financial surveys conducted by the US Fed and the ECB in the Eurozone reveal that the financial pipes have stopped working. The central banks have 'cut off' liquidity and the impact on the economy will be felt sooner or later. The good GDP and PMI data have generated a kind of illusion, a prediction that seems excessively optimistic and premature. Victory cannot yet be claimed, let alone seeing what is happening with the banking sector in the US and in some monetary aggregates, warn the think tank Cebr. In the Eurozone, the latest survey on bank loans from the European Central Bank (ECB) reveals that in the first quarter of this year banks suffered credit at the highest rate since the 2011 sovereign debt crisis. Similarly, in the US, credit conditions are holding up and reaching levels that could be described as exceptionally "tight". According to the American Bankers Association's Credit Conditions Index, expectations about credit market conditions are at their lowest since the start of the pandemic, suggesting that US businesses will find it more difficult to obtain loans from banks in the coming months. The rises in interest rates since the end of 2021 are the main factor in the current situation of the banks. Although SVB's risk management appears to have been exceptionally poor, "it is very likely that other banks also have some longer-term government bonds that have lost value since central banks around the world decide to raise rates," they argue. the economists of the british think tank. These are counted as assets on the balance sheet of bank securities, so if their value falls, liabilities (i.e. deposits) will eventually need to be reduced as well. Furthermore, the refusal or inability, especially by US banks, to pass on the higher interest rates to their savings accounts means that deposits have flown out of the banking system at a staggering rate. Estimates put money outflows at JP Morgan, Wells Fargo and Bank of America over the past year topping half a trillion dollars. Meanwhile, the British withdrew a record £4.8bn from UK banks in March alone. Although there are still big differences, financial instability in the US will also cause small waves of distrust in Europe. In the case of Spain, for example, the large banks have also lost around 30 billion euros in deposits since December, according to their recently published quarterly accounts. "In summary, the data suggests that companies (and to a lesser extent potential homebuyers) will find it increasingly difficult to obtain a loan in the coming months. This will have a dampening effect on investment and economic growth, and It is one of the main reasons for our most pessimistic outlook for the world economy," say the Cebr economists. Central banks are in a difficult situation as core inflation is also expected to remain higher for longer than expected, making it more difficult or even impossible for interest rate cuts to begin. stimulate the credit market. All in all, "the current cycle of interest rate increases could have come to an end in May, but it is unlikely that the work of the Federal Reserve, the ECB and the BoE will be easier in the coming months," they say from the Cebr . Birds are one of the groups of animals that most generate admiration for humans, who appreciate the color of their feathers and the way they fly. Birds are a group of warm-blooded vertebrate animals that have unique characteristics, such as the fact that they only move or maintain themselves on their hind limbs, while the lower limbs use them to carry out one of the activities that also distinguishes the group, fly. However, there are some birds that do not fly, so why are they in this group of vertebrates? The answer lies in the primary characteristic that distinguishes this group of vertebrates, and that is the presence of feathers that cover their bodies. Broadly speaking, if we see birds as a puzzle, you will notice that we already mentioned the hind and lower extremities, and the characteristic plumage around their skin, but there is another anatomical component that is very peculiar to this group. This group of animals is characterized by the absence of teeth and instead, they have a beak that is used to carry out various functions such as feeding and grooming. They are oviparous animals (they lay eggs), and they incubate the small young inside the shell until hatching. There is a great diversity of these animals around the world that, according to the National Commission for the Knowledge and Use of Biodiversity (CONABIO), birds represent 11 percent of the total fauna that exists on the planet. This group of vertebrates has more than 9 thousand species and Mexico has just over a thousand in the territory. People often call birds by their common name or in a different way, depending on the geographic region, however, the term "bird" is often used as a synonym for an organism with wings. Something similar happens with a group of reptiles, where they usually use the word viper and snake as synonyms, despite not being the same. It might interest you to read: What is the difference between "snake", "viper" and "snake": Know the correct way to refer to these animals. Now it's time to explain to you what this singular difference in the group of birds refers to. What is the difference between birds and birds? Scientifically, like the rest of the animal suborders, birds are divided into: families subfamilies genders subgenres species subspecies The term "bird" is the set of all vertebrate species that have feathers and the aforementioned characteristics. While the word "bird" derives from the Latin passer and refers to a specific order of birds, the passerines. Passerines are the largest order of birds, encompassing more than half of the known species. Regarding their anatomy, passerines have four fingers: three directed forwards and one towards the back of the bird. They are small, and have a complex system in the syrinx (vocal organ), a characteristic that allows them to elaborate more elaborate songs, compared to the rest of the birds. So we can conclude that all birds are birds, but not all birds are birds! Share science, share knowledge. Before starting to write to me, I took the trouble to read the comments of all the publications we have made about this motorcycle, and this brand, in the last 2 years. There are many. It makes sense, CFMoto is one of the brands that has had the most movement globally in terms of news and launches. But I am going to stay with a comment that, I think, summarizes the essence of the collective thought of motorcycle users, at least in our country: If this is premium, what is left for the GS, Africa, V-Strom? Are they from another planet? Beyond the distortion and madness of the prices of motorcycles in our market, the constant on this particular motorcycle was that the water has already covered us, you cannot pay x peas for a Chinese motorcycle. Let's see, many things still need to be evaluated regarding the brand, and everything is in the future, so we are going to limit ourselves to talking purely and exclusively about the product based on the experience we had during the 1000 kilometers we did on our expedition to Tandil last week. And I think we are in a position to inform you that high-end motorcycles are already being manufactured in China. No buts, no jokes and no counting the ribs. The CFMoto 800MT is, in our opinion, the first motorcycle to achieve a position in this category. And yes, at international prices, the brand has come out to compete with a product that wants to fight equally and with a price that is on par with, and even above, those of its traditional competitors. This 800MT Touring costs more than a Transalp 750, Ténéré 700, V-Strom 800, or V85TT, and is close to the value of an F850GS, 890 Adventure, or Triumph Tiger 900GT. In our market it has an advantage, it came out with a price that, in some cases, reaches 50% of some of the models mentioned above. Before the launch, I am not very clear about how much it was going to cost, but we do anticipate a very ambitious plan by the brand. While we were spying on the previous movements, the volume of operations, or kits, caught our attention, since it is a locally produced model, which they had at the time they started. We are talking about more than 750 units of the 800MT between the different versions that will be marketed. At the moment, only this Touring version will be available at dealerships, but during the year the line will be completed with the Sport and Explore Edition versions. I suppose that at this point there must be a large number of skeptics who do not agree that the motorcycle is CFMoto. That it has no history, that it is Chinese, that it is not Japanese, Italian, Austrian or German and all the ña ña ña that we usually hear from the most purist guardians of the doctrine and the status quo of two wheels. But we will address that issue later. Perhaps it is a good time to repair the list of equipment that this motorcycle offers as standard and that in other brands are optional, especially in the top top, or you have to go out and look for it in the aftermarket. Ride by wire electronic accelerator, with two driving modes -sport and rain-, grip warmer and seat warmer -only for the pilot- with three temperature levels, adjustable windshield, up&down quickshifter, auxiliary headlights, full LED lighting with DRL, turns autocancellable, automatic activation of beacons in case of emergency braking, cornering ABS, slipper clutch, side cases and top-case, 7″ TFT color screen with Bluetooth connection and navigation through the CFMoto Ride app, high fenders and lowers, skid plate, Akront spoked rims for tubeless use, tire pressure and temperature sensors, steering damper, fully adjustable KYB inverted tubes at the front and adjustable preload and rebound monoshock at the rear, double 320 mm floating disc at the front with J.Juan 4-piston radial calipers, grip covers, 2 USB ports, a 12v socket and a large number of extra functions in the instrumentation. We have probably forgotten something, and it is striking that among so much equipment, what stands out the most is the lack of traction control and the possibility of disconnecting the ABS on the rear wheel. Special section for the CFMoto Ride application. Thanks to the fact that the motorcycle comes with the T-Box installed, it allows obtaining a lot of information about the motorcycle, starting with the possibility of locating where our unit is located, the kilometers it has, the general average consumption, the fuel level and the battery voltage. On the other hand, problems can be reported, both with the vehicle and with the application, describing what happened and uploading photos to send to the manufacturer. Suggestions can also be made. And as for the data on the use of the motorcycle, you can see day by day the km traveled, the total time of use, the maximum speed and the number of fast accelerations, strong braking and inclinations of the motorcycle. You can see history of routes and generate a fence that notifies us if the motorcycle left the area that we delimited. Speaking of notifications, you can also receive alerts if any movement is detected while leaving the bike parked, if you're low on fuel, you can set a fatigue reminder to alert you to the instrument after x number of hours of continuous use, reminders if the vehicle has not been used for the amount of time we determine, notifications of high engine rpm and overheating should it occur. And you can also use the navigation function, which will give us turn-by-turn instructions on the TFT screen. In short, the list is endless and updates can even be installed in the system. We took two days to test the motorcycle on a round trip to Tandil, leaving from the Obelisco, where the CFMoto Centro dealership is located, which gave us one of the two units, traveling on highways, highways and routes to learn about the travel skills of this adventure turning and with some good exits off the asphalt once we reached the destination, thanks to our local guide and friend Agustín Chiche Salanueva, to whom we also lent the motorcycle for a while so that he could test it. Bearing in mind that the 800MT has a combination of 17″-19″ wheels and a fairly contained suspension travel -150/160mm- we focused on riding hard on gravel in good condition, although we had a share of somewhat broken trails with unevenness and stones to take it a little further. But to talk about all this, they will have to go see the video that we prepared for this test ride, where they will be able to see the bike in action, in detail, and we will review it from start to finish. The Chinese industry reached a motorcycle level that, honestly, we did not know when it would be embodied in a product. It was not long ago that this category of products was fully compensated. And suddenly motorcycles of the category of the 700 CL-X, of the Benelli 752S began to appear, which increased to raise the bar in terms of quality, performance and refinement of mechanics and components. On the horizon are products such as the Moto Morini X-Cape 650, Benelli Leoncino and TRK 800, and even Voge has a trail 900 on his hands. Although all of this remains to be seen and they are not products that we have tested, it is more than clear that Important things are coming from China. What we can affirm from experience is that up to now we had not seen or tested anything, with this provenance, it looks like this CFMoto 800MT. And by this we mean the level of product, manufacturing quality and the benefits it offers from mechanics, cycling and comfort. Surely we also approach the product with a certain prejudice for being from such a brand and such an origin, but it doesn't take many kilometers to realize what a piece of motorcycle it really is and prejudices are falling one by one. Yes, you can find things to improve. The accelerator could be more precise in some situations, the quickshifter has its moments, the design of the instrument interface, the precision of the on-board computer, the cruise control cannot be deactivated with the accelerator and the mechanism to regulate the the height of the windshield could be operated with one hand -although it is very good-, but the quality standard that this motorcycle has set, the level of design and equipment it has and what it offers the user on the road and off it, the It puts it well above what we have managed up to now from Mao Tse Tung's payments. Many will think that it is a compendium of components from other manufacturers, and perhaps it is to some extent, but with no less detail: it is with the permission of those other manufacturers. And there is something that CFMoto seems to be very clear about: to compete with the first level, you have to do it with the same weapons. That's why they went to Kiska Design, not only to design products like this one, but to completely redesign the brand and its global expansion strategy. world brand. Chinese heart is the motto, with no intention of hiding its identity. And from there its agreements with brands such as KTM, J.Juan, Bosch, Dell'Orto, KYB, Michelin and Akront among others. The fact that it continues to be marketed in our market under other local brands was unsustainable at the time, and this 800MT was the perfect excuse for CFMoto to finally begin to follow its own path in Argentina, something that came hand in hand with a network of dealers. exclusive and a quite demanding brand manual by which everyone, from its representative to its dealers, must be handled. Perhaps this is not the easiest year to land in a country like ours, but all those behind CFMoto have a level of enthusiasm that makes us think that they are above what may happen at the local level. That what they have in hand, and what is coming, is better than everyone thinks. And this bike is just a sample of all that. And all this is good for several reasons. Firstly, because it makes better products available to a larger market, and then it will make those who used to look down from above no longer feel so comfortable. In everyday life we said something that some misunderstood: this motorcycle came to rob the rich, not the poor. Some susceptible wanted to take her to another terrain, but the majority understood this unfortunate statement. And at times we feel that the fact that it does not have a 21″ wheel in front, and being able to offer a full adventure motorcycle, was part of the terms and conditions for the development to be possible. Ultimately, if the other Chinese manufacturers that have 700, 800 and 900cc bikes on their hands plan to compete in the same way at this price level of bike, they are going to have to make a significant effort. We hope they do, because in the end everything will result in more and better motorcycles for motorcyclists. In response to the comment in the first paragraph, I think the answer is that premium bikes like the ones mentioned are not going to drop in level, in fact they improve year by year, so they will continue to be just that: one of the best bikes that money can buy. But we must not minimize the enormous improvement of brands like this one, which until recently were not even on the radar, because they are getting closer, because they want to and, above all, because they have the wallet. It was not easy to analyze this bike without taking into account everything behind it, it is what happens when a product appears that marks a break, a leap in quality within a brand. And we will have to be attentive to everything that comes after. Now yes, we leave you with the test ride of this CFMoto 800MT Touring, the motorcycle that marked the relaunch of the brand in Argentina. We hope you like it and see you in the comments. What we liked the most MOTHER: + The overall quality of the bike. Difficult to stay with only 3 things on a bike that has so much to highlight and that, for me, marks a break within the brand. If the new developments -of 800 and 450- that they have in hand are going to be at this level, CFMoto is going to be a big problem for many. + The mechanics they chose. A big part of what this bike is is because the Austrians let them use the 790 engine, and not a copy. You get on a top-level motorcycle. + Without going into so much detail, because we already mentioned everything before, the level of equipment and comfort of this motorcycle is on a par with the most expensive motorcycles on the market. And a more equipped version is still missing. FM: + The engine. It's the KTM one and it rides incredible. + Suspension adjustment level surprises for an adventure touring motorcycle and the segment it targets + The equipment is amazing. Above all, and at this time of year, the heating. What we liked least MOTHER: – It seems absurd to me that having the latest in electronics the package is so restricted. There's no traction control, there are only two riding modes, and you can't turn off ABS. – I don't like that you can't disengage the cruise control with the accelerator. – The precision of the on-board computer regarding the consumption of the motorcycle is to be improved. And it also seems to me that they could take much more advantage of that 7″ screen with a better interface design. FM: – should have control of a motorcycle with this level of performance – ABS should be able to be switched off, off road it is safer and more useful. – You need…reverse? (Sorry, I ran out of ideas) Link: https://motoblog.com/test-ride-cfmoto-800mt-touring/

Chickpea is a legume that provides many health benefits. RTVE They are not the protagonists of any stew either, they are missing in stews and have become even more po[CENSORED]r with hummus. Be that as it may, chickpeas are probably one of the most used legumes in the Spanish recipe book. And it is not for less, because their great benefits require them in a food of 10. For this reason, in Now or Never, the program presented by Mónica López, we reveal some of them, as well as curiosities that, perhaps, you did not know. They are more than 8,000 years old and are resistant to cold It is estimated that the origin of chickpeas, both for its consumption and its cultivation, dates back to about 8,000 years ago in the Near East area. In addition, their cultivation cycle is 100 days and is done mainly in the winter months, since they are resistant to cold and need less water than other legumes. They come from a bush The bush from which the chickpea grows can reach 50 centimeters in height. It has white or purple flowers, and inside each pod you can find a maximum of two or three seeds. 90% comes from India and Pakistan Although chickpeas are grown in many places, 90% of world production is concentrated in India and Pakistan. Although it should be noted that Spain is one of the most important chickpea producers in Europe. Types of chickpeas and where they are most used There are different varieties of this legume. An investigation found dozens of websites publishing hundreds of articles per day generated by chatbots like ChatGPT. They publish all kinds of news, some as crazy as the death of Biden. A new generation of content farms is on the way, warns Newsguard. The organization, which is tasked with tracking false information on the Internet, found at least 49 news websites in April that were written almost entirely by AI chatbots, such as ChatGPT. Some publish hundreds of articles per day, many of them with disparate information. "Last minute: The White House has reported that Joe Biden would have it peacefully while he slept," the Celebridadesdeaths.com portal (dead celebrities in English) published last month. They are websites designed to imitate human communication and the format of traditional news pages. Almost all of the content features bland language and repetitive phrases, characteristic of the AI. Not all websites have a name as obvious or suspicious as "dead celebrities." Others have more generic names, intended to give the impression of being created media: Biz Breaking News, News Live 79 or Daily Business Post. Articles are rewritten from other sources. For example, BestBudgetUSA.com summarizes articles from CNN. The sites are saturated with advertising. This means that these AI-created news websites were surely designed to generate revenue from programmatic, algorithmically placed ads that are today financed by a large part of the world's media. Who put together these AI news websites? In these AI-generated news websites, sensationalist headlines, such as the death of the president of the United States, are key. Also, trivia: "Why is yawning contagious?" or "why is the sky blue but space is black?" These are two examples of the articles published by GetIntoKnowledge.com. Newsguard tried to contact the directors of these portals. Of the 49 sites, only 29 had a contact address. Most were fake emails or never responded. Among those who did respond is the administrator of Famadillo.com, a site that publishes product reviews by AI. "We made an expert (sic) to use AI to edit old articles that no one reads anymore, just to see how it works," said Maria Spanadoris, who declined a phone call. Therefore, his identity could not be verified. Adesh Ingale identified himself as the founder of GetIntoKnowledge.com. "We use automation at some points where they are extremely needed," he told Newsguard in an email. According to Ingale, everything is published manually under human supervision, but he did not elaborate on the use of AI. He did highlight: "We are the new era that will provide knowledge in each and every one of the corners." News websites generated by AI chatbots are written in seven languages: Chinese, Czech, English, French, Portuguese, Tagalog, and Thai. Many of the articles are signed by "Administrator", "Editor" or simply have no signature at all. Other sites feature fake author profiles. HarmonyHustle.com, for example, has a list of its creators, including "Alex" and "Tom." Newsguard, however, did an investigation based on their profile photos and found that they were not real. How to identify these fake pages? In addition to being endorsed by an author signature, articles on these news websites often include clear evidence that they were written by an AI. For example, articles on BestBudgetUSA.com often contain phrases such as "I can't produce 1500 words...However, I can provide you with a summary of the article..." plus the link to the original CNN report. Other posts contain sentences like "My deadline is September 2021" or "As an AI language model...". The article on Biden's death said that the vice president would replace the president of the United States. Then, however, he continued: "Sorry, I can't complete this message because it goes against OpenAI's use case policy on generating misleading content." OpenAI is the creator of ChatGPT. The 49 websites analyzed by Newsguard contained at least one article with these flaws. You can also tell the use of a chatbot by the repetitive language, which constantly includes fillers such as "in conclusion" and "it is important to remember". These sites have a varied presence on social networks. ScoopEarth.com, for example, has 124,000 followers on Facebook. While FilthyLucre.com, which publishes financial articles, operates on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter with zero followers. This is just the beginning, just months away from the launch of ChatGPT. "Concerns that (AI) could be used to evoke entire news organizations, once the subject of speculation... have now become a reality," Newsguard reported. The captain of the Argentine National Team was the great figure at the evening in Paris. Carlos Alcaraz, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Christian Eriksen, among others, also won. Lionel Messi became the first to win two Laureus awards in the same edition: Best Sportsman and Best Team with the Argentine National Team. Photo: Laureus. Lionel Messi is the best athlete of 2023. He is better than the French footballer Kylian Mbappé -although at PSG they incredibly think the opposite. He is also better than the Dutch pilot Max Verstappen, the Swedish athlete Mondo Duplantis, the Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal and the American basketball player Stephen Curry. This was defined by the notable jury of the Laureus Awards, the sports Oscars, which were delivered this Monday at the Pavillion Vendome in Paris. But Messi's conquests, in times of turbulence at his club and with his future caught between question marks, did not end there. It is that the Argentine National Team, the one whose captain is Rosario and who comes from winning the World Cup in Qatar 2022, is the best team of the year. It's better than the England women's soccer team, the France men's rugby team, the Real Madrid soccer team, the NBA's Golden State Warriors, and the Red Bull Formula 1 team. Yes, Messi and La Scaloneta are the best of the best. And there is little to discuss. It is the second time that Messi, 35, has won a Laureus after the one he obtained in 2020. However, on that occasion, La Pulga shared the recognition with the British Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton. This time it was solo and it was Verstappen's turn to succeed, winner in 2022. However, he is far from the five statuettes that the Swiss Roger Federer collected in his wonderful career as a tennis player. "The World Cup came at the end of my career, but it was the most beautiful thing," said Messi, who was accompanied on stage by Argentine rugby legend Hugo Porta, who compared the captain of the Argentine National Team to South African statesman Nelson Mandela for for his leadership and for his ability to inspire others. "If Mandela were here, I would give you a hug," emphasized the former Los Pumas fly-half. "It cost me a lot (the World Cup), almost my entire career. I want to share it with all of Argentina," Messi continued, visibly moved. At that moment, he recalled that before he had had "a lot of happiness with Barcelona and sadness with the National Team." And he closed: "It was a lesson, with many stones on the way, to improve myself, to improve myself, together with my family and my loved ones," he added, who attended the evening with his partner, Antonela Roccuzzo. Together they caused a furor with their looks. The Argentine star arrived with an elegant look together with his wife Antonela Roccuzzo But Messi's night did not end there. It is that Leo made history and did not need to have a ball as a tool. He didn't even have to put on his shorts. With his elegant tuxedo, he became the first athlete to receive double awards at the Laureus (individual and team) since these awards began to be given in the year 2000. The fact is that the Argentine National Team also took his statuette and was Messi who received. received. And that the president of the AFA, Claudio Chiqui Tapia, also participated in the party. and the defender Lisandro Martínez, who was accompanied by his partner, the influencer Muri López Benítez. La Scaloneta, that magnificent and unforgettable creation by Lionel Scaloni, took the prize for his role in the World Cup in Qatar, where he prevailed in a hectic final against France, second in the fight, after the penalty shootout to shout champion for the third time. time. in History. An important detail: Messi left the gala with a pin on one of his lapels with the AFA shield and its brand new three stars. The Selection succeeds the Italian soccer team, which last year gave an unforgettable dance at Wembley in the Finalissima, that smile that is attributed as a prologue to that unforgettable end of the year in the Middle East. "It was an award for work, camaraderie, humility and respect. Not only Argentina found themselves identified (with our team), but a large part of the world. Respect above all else," said Messi, who received the award from the Italian coach Fabio Capello and Spanish footballer Carles Puyol, his former partner in Barcelona, who, like Porta, make up the jury of 71 notables from the Laureus Academy. "We have fought it and we have gone through very difficult moments, but all together, with that strength, that hunger, we said to ourselves: why can't we be world champions? After the match against Saudi Arabia, as Leo said, we had to believe" , commented Licha Martínez, who will recover from an injury to one of her feet. And he added: "We did it with the humility of accepting defeat, respecting our rivals when we win and lose." The Manchester United defender arrived at the Laureus Awards gala in Paris with a look very similar to that of captain Lionel Messi. Chiqui Tapia also had the floor, who assured that the victory in Qatar was "a great joy for all Argentines who felt proud of their country at a very special moment." And he closed: "When there is a project and a whole team wants the same, there is nothing impossible," closed the strong man of Argentine soccer who is traveling through Europe for commercial matters. It was another Argentine night in Paris, with a Messi who shone again after a convulsed week due to his trip to Saudi Arabia that led to an unprecedented sanction by the PSG leadership. Hours before becoming the center of the sports universe, La Pulga had at least obtained a pardon from his Qatari employers and was able to train at the Camp des Loges, the sports venue of his club. It was the same day that in Spain they assured, without any reservation, that their future was tied to Al Hilal, the Arab team led by Ramón Díaz. For now, nothing is resolved. It is only known that Messi and La Scaloneta are the best of the best. The Minister of Mines and Energy, Irene Vélez, stated that the Government is studying this measure given the high cost of the fuel tariff. This Sunday, after finishing the meetings of the Colombian Government on its tour of Portugal, the Minister of Mines and Energy, Irene Vélez, stated that the methodology with which the price of gasoline in Colombia is set will be reviewed, because "the way in the one that is built means that all gasoline is valued at the international price.” In addition, the official said that differential fuel prices are contemplated so as not to subsidize large consumers. According to Minister Vélez, technical tables have already been set up with the Ministry of Finance and Ecopetrol, to carry out a comprehensive review in search of reducing the cost of fuel in the country. However, several experts have expressed their concern about this measure, which would be inconvenient, since it would bring more serious problems such as diversion and smuggling. In addition, they will warn that creating a differential rate in the price of gasoline would mean, in practice, a tax sacrifice. (Minister of Mines announces measures due to high gasoline prices). "Setting a gasoline price lower than the international one is equivalent to sacrificing tax collection and is inconsistent with the environmental sustainability agenda. It makes no sense to subsidize the consumption of a fossil fuel," said Luis Fernando Mejía, director of Fedesarrollo, after the announcement. from the minister For his part, Tomás Gónzalez, former Minister of Mines and Energy and director of the Regional Center for Energy Studies, said that selling the same gasoline at different prices could stimulate smuggling as currently occurs in the border area, with multiple economic and social consequences. He adds that although raising the price of gasoline is unpo[CENSORED]r, it is necessary to do so "because we are spending too much money on fuel subsidies, money that we need for much more urgent social issues," González said in an interview on Caracol Radio. The proposal put forward by Minister Vélez to change the gasoline formula does not ring a bell either for former Finance Minister José Antonio Ocampo, since this would simply bring less profits to Ecopetrol. Likewise, the Minister of Finance Ricardo Bonilla maintained that the proposals on gasoline prices should revolve around three items: maintaining the country's fiscal sustainability, maintaining the income received from Ecopetrol, and sustaining Ecopetrol's financial stability. Given this, he asked for calm and that the proposals be evaluated under the three aforementioned criteria. "It is necessary that we evaluate, between the Ministry of Mines, the Ministry of Finance, Ecopetrol and the Fiscal Rule Commission, the composition of fuel prices and how the subsidies are characterized (...) The objective is that we make technical tables and that several proposals come out of there to see how appropriate they can be implemented,” said Bonilla. Discover the species that has survived the passage of more than 100 million years and its appearance is still intact. A pond in James Park, London, near Buckingham Palace. The tadpole shrimp (Triops cancriformis) is a priority species for conservation action in the UK Biodiversity Action Plan (UK BAP). The animal lives in small ponds that dry up during the summer. The arthropod Triops cancriformis, also known as the tadpole shrimp, is a species of crustacean that crawls in freshwater ponds throughout Europe, Russia and the Middle East, says the Encyclopedia of Life (EOL). English), a database that collects information on all known species of living things on Earth. According to EOL, Triops is a living fossil. It has lived with the first mammals of the Triassic period 220 million years ago, making it the oldest living animal species known to humans. The shrimp, despite its small size of between 6 and 11 centimeters, resembles the horseshoe crab. What is the habitat and lifestyle of the Triops Due to the uncertainty of the habitat where it develops its life, ponds that dry up during the summer, the animal has a rapid life cycle: it can develop from egg to adult in just two or three weeks when its habitat is still humid, he argues. EOL. While your pool is dry, Triops eggs can lie dormant for decades before hatching and even survive high temperatures before water begins to encroach on their territory. The tadpole shrimp po[CENSORED]tion can be gonococcal (male or female), hermaphroditic (both biological sexes), or androdioic (coexistence between male and hermaphrodite). This last case, says EOL, is very strange in this species of animals, it supposes the coexistence of a po[CENSORED]tion because it is made up of hermaphroditic Triops and a small proportion of males. What other long-lived animals inhabit the earth? In the animal kingdom there are species that, unlike the tiny crustacean, have a longer life expectancy. Among them, an article published by National Geographic mentions the Greenland Shark (Somniosus microcephalus) as the longest-lived vertebrate in the world. Bodied from Africa Twin and heart from CB 500. Hengjian's new release has pulled the design and engine from Honda. It is a Chinese copy with the fusion of both models, known as HJ500-8 or Dahaidao 500. The Asian brand does not spare any details when replying. Even the iconic GS symbol of BMW SUVs has been placed on the bodywork. However, it has its own qualities, such as a capacity for 40 liters of gasoline, which give it a range of a thousand kilometers. It is a cheaper option and with limited power, compared to its twin, the Africa Twin, but with enough quality to seek positioning in the global market, including the European one, at the cost of certain modifications due to copyright. HJ500-8 FEATURES The HJ500-8 features a twin-cylinder engine based on Honda's CB 500. It has water cooling, gasoline injection, 471 cc, four valves per cylinder and a maximum of 48 hp at 8,500 rpm and 43 Nm at 7,500 rpm. Its hallmark is two gasoline tanks that add up to a capacity of 40 liters. Storage superior to that of almost any motorcycle with this cylinder. The chassis is conventional steel, but of comparatively high quality. This enduro motorcycle has a steering damper and an aluminum swingarm at the rear. Its braking system is made up of radially bolted calipers and a ring of ABS sensors. The motorcycle is equipped with a 7-inch color screen with touch operation. The monitor displays the speed and gear of the 6-speed gearbox, tire pressure, weather, coolant and ambient air temperatures, an altimeter, and engine oil quality. In addition, it has two cameras mounted on the front and rear to record traffic. According to some media, the cost of this vehicle will be around 4,800 euros. We still have a little bit left to reach the end of the Wano Country Arc in the anime, and better be patient, because if Dressrosa had already been lengthening at the time, we are currently in the longest saga in the history of 'One Piece '. Wano is being a very intense and dramatic saga, with a conflict that Momomosuke and the entire Kozuki Clan have been dragging for more than twenty years in order to free the country from the yoke of the shogun Orochi and the Kaido Beast Pirates. In Wano we have met all kinds of enemies and things have gotten increasingly dark for the Straw Hats... but not everything was going to be bad and several very powerful allies have also arrived, and without a doubt one of the most fascinating it's Yamato. Despite the fact that he has entered the arena quite late, Yamato has quickly become one of the most beloved characters by fans and many hope that at some point he will end up joining Luffy's crew. But while we get to that, let's look at a few things that have made us love Yamato. This article contains spoilers for the 'One Piece' anime and manga! gender up and down The issue of Yamato's gender is a hot debate among fans, but since Yamato refers to himself as masculine and identifies as male, well, that's how it will be in this article as well. Yamato is the only son of Kaido (that we know of) and as a child he was very marked by Kozuki Oden, especially since he was greatly impacted by everything that happened during his public execution. Yamato managed to get hold of the logbook that Oden wrote during his travels and from then on he decided to follow in his footsteps. Until then she had been a girl who was called "Ogre Princess" by Kaido's followers, but she was determined to become Oden, adopting his phrases, his beliefs, his name and the dream of opening the borders of Wano. And since Oden is a man, Yamato is too and the rest of the characters accept him as such (and with the crap of a father that Kaido is, at least it can be said that he respects his son's pronouns). He is considered by a large part of the fandom as one of the transgender characters of 'One Piece', and in fact in the manga he appears bathing with the rest of the men at the end of the Wano Arc. The opposite of Momonosuke Yamato is an ally of the Wano samurai and the Straw Hats (well, and the entire Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance), but he could have been the complete opposite of Momonosuke and his natural enemy if things had gone awry. little different. Both Mononosuke and Yamato were born 28 years ago, both received the title of shogun as their birthright, and ate their Devil Fruits without knowing what they were because of cramping hunger. However, each seems to have more in common with the other's father than their own. Like Kozuki Oden, Yamato has always been trapped in Onigashima without being able to get out of Wano and longs to travel the whole world... While like Kaido, Momonosuke has traveled abroad and all he wants is to rule Wano. To make it even clearer, Yamato also wants to become Kozuki Oden and Momonosuke has the same Devil Fruit as Kaido. Wano's Guardian The truth is that Yamato is a bit crazy, between having Conqueror's Haki, which is physically very powerful, and on top of that he has a Devil Fruit. Not just any, but a Mythical Zoan: Inu Inu Fruit, Model: Okuchi no Makami. So with this Devil Fruit, Yamato can turn into a huge majestic wolf that reaches great speeds when running, and also into a very powerful hybrid form. As if that were not enough, he also has the power to create ice. This fruit is very important to the story of Wano, because this wolf is a protector deity of the country and Yamato has also taken on this role a bit by turning against Kaido. Especially when Luffy falls off the roof of Onigashima and is knocked out, it is Yamato who fights against his father to buy time and contain him. One of the reasons why they later decide to stay in the country is to protect it from the Navy, the World Government and anyone who wants to come and conquer them, making it clear that they are the new guardian of Wano. The Rose of Onigashima One of the inspirations to create a Yamato seems to have been Lady Oscar, from 'The Rose of Versailles'. In Riyoko Ikeda's iconic manga, Oscar François de Jarjayes is a woman who was raised as a man in order to succeed her father as commander of the Royal Guard of the Palace of Versailles. Although their stories are very different, we can find several similarities, such as Yamato's female appearance, that he identifies as a man, and that it seems that Kaido had planes so that his son could also lead his troops and Wano, although Yamato does not want to go through that hoop A prince as inspiration Lady Oscar was not the only inspiration, and her character is also based on Yamato Takeru, a legendary prince from Japan's Yamato dynasty. In addition, the kanabo that Yamato uses as a weapon has the name "Takeru", to make the reference even clearer. Sammy Palazzolo's friends constantly ask him to show them his phone. This 18-year-old student does it proud: it's a modest clamshell phone, a Cinclular Flex based on KaiOS 2.5.4, with a 2.8-inch screen and 2 MP camera. And like her, thousands of users are abandoning their smartphones to return to much more Spartan devices. Because? Smartphone slaves. As indicated in The Wall Street Journal, for Palazzolo and his followers —now she is an evangelizer of this trend on her TikTok account— we are slaves to the phone, "like robots that do not stop scrolling, even when we are at a party." Now he takes his "dumb" phone with him to these meetings and leaves his iPhone at home. Gen Z recovers old formats. This generation —born between the late 90s and 2010— takes advantage of the fact that these mobiles have many limitations in terms of applications. Therefore, they avoid distractions and that means they are not "glued to the mobile" as could happen with conventional smartphones. The trend already became apparent months ago, when Camila Cabello posted a message on Twitter stating that "I'm from the flip phone revolution team." Long live the nostalgia. Nokia, which dominated the pre-iPhone era with an iron fist, has been able to take advantage of this trend. It has spent years keeping manufacturing phones simple ('featurephones') and in fact that has led it to play with nostalgia and reintroduce hits from the past to adapt them to new times. Phones from before that seem (a bit) from now. Although things like the shell format, physical keyboards or small screens are preserved, these models have some important options such as 4G connectivity and, in some cases, somewhat more decent cameras. The KaiOS operating system allows access to a browser and applications such as WhatsApp, but not Instagram or TikTok, for example. From the 3310 to the Motorola StarTAC: the 11 most emblematic mobiles before the smartphone era IN MOBILE XATAKA Using a little of everything. The use of these devices is not usually exclusive to their users, who use them according to the occasion. In WSJ they commented how Osamah Qatanani, 23, carries both his iPhone and a basic clamshell phone and uses them more or less the same amount of time. When he carries the modest mobile, he affirms "nothing else arrives except the people who are important to you". Great news for Nokia. The firm sent Palazzolo a Nokia 2780 Flip based on KaiOS 3.1, with a 2.7-inch screen and a 5 MP camera for him to test, plus another 44 to give to his friends and followers on his social networks. It has been one of the movements that reinforces a strategy that is giving results. remarkable sales. According to the WSJ, Nokia sells tens of miles of its clamshell phones each month in the United States. The figures were given by Lars Silberbauer, head of marketing at HMD Global, the Finnish maker of Nokia handsets. Sales, he says, are growing in various regions, stressing that this is "no small trend."Anyone can afford them. These simple mobiles —also frequently used by our elders— have the advantage of being especially cheap. It is common to find them for just 60-80 euros, when a high-end smartphone is currently around 800 and 1,000 euros. And then there is its other advantage: the battery life is amazing. The 'gunners' win a vibrant game in Newcastle and remain one point behind the leadership in the Premier The proud Arsenal continues in the race to win the Premier, break a 19-year abstinence and destroy Manchester City, which now focuses on the challenge of the Champions League while its domestic rival watches weapons. A win in Newcastle against a rival that had only lost 4 games in 33 days places them one point behind City, which also has the advantage of having to make up a postponed match against Brighton, just the team that will visit next weekend the Emirates. Three games ahead for Arsenal (Brighton and Wolves at home; Nottingham away) and four for Pep Guardiola's team (who will visit Everton, Brighton and Brentford and host Chelsea). The championship enters the field of the unpredictable. The Premier is great not only because of the money it manages, nor is it only great because of the unique liturgy that is experienced in its stadiums. The fascination has to do with more than just the checkra and the decor. It is on the pitch and everything that happens there has a lot of truth when it comes to deciphering football. This time of pressure, of steals and transitions, of balls played high from behind to attract opponents and find space adapts like a glove to the scene and setting. The result is a succession of memorable matches, one of those that are fans. Impossible not to get excited watching duels like the one between Newcastle and Arsenal in the majestic and feverish St. James's Park. In the count of those big events, Arsenal is usually in the middle, but on this occasion the most agitated team in the Premier found itself inside a centrifuge. Newcastle started a short, but intense program, and Arsenal seemed like a shambles. In the first minute, Murphy sent a shot to the post, in the seventh Bruno Guimaraes completed a corner drawn on the blackboard and sent the referee to the penalty spot for an alleged handball from Kiwior. The viewing on the screen contradicted everything and Arsenal found not only relief, but the break they needed to get rid of the stupor that caused them so much drive. Three minutes after that VAR knock, he approached the rival area and before entering it Odegaard placed a precise left-footed shot between Nick Pope's hand and the post. This is how a large team shakes off the dominance of a rival. The circle of celebration of the Arsenal players had more of a cabal than a celebration. There were many things to correct. They did it for a good stretch of the first half because the team adjusted to make Newcastle's circulation of the ball uncomfortable and they stopped acularizing. He also found the ways to Martinelli and Saka, which could increase the advantage. It was then that the goalkeepers appeared, first Nick Pope for the locals, then Aaron Ramsdale for the Gunners. Accused for many years for their improvable level, the best English goals have made a leap in quality in recent times. It does not seem difficult to deduce that the economic muscle has also served to bring the best goalkeeper coaches to the island's training centers. And there are several talents imported from LaLiga there. It happened that for almost an hour only that early goal by Odegaard ruled the score. It seemed incredible because there were several well-resolved one-on-one actions by both squads, but they were deactivated by the goalkeepers, the most resounding one by Odegaard in the last one before the break. And the shots to the sticks followed one another: Isak for Newcastle and Martinelli for Arsenal at the dawn of the second part. Newcastle was once again a torrent of enormous offensive flow. Ramsdale became great to take out with the right wrist, firm, a header from the former sportsman Schär. Arsenal gritted their teeth in a test of maturity for the youngest team in the Premier. He rallied and bided his time, which came twenty minutes from time when Martinelli scouted the end line and found treasure in Schär's right boot, who tapped the ball into his goal. Nothing stopped until the end. Newcastle had faith, but Arsenal have a creed. His fans recite it from the stands with an overwhelming chant: We have Super Mik Arteta, he knows exactly what we need; Kieran [Tierney] behind, Gabi [Martinelli] in attack, Arsenal on their way to the Champions League. (We have Super Mikel Arteta, he knows exactly what we need; Kieran in back, Gabi in attack, Arsenal on their way to the Champions League). Berkshire Hathaway CEO Warren Buffett. Photo: Reuters That China, Russia and India all want to reduce their dependence on the US dollar is no secret. Recently, the negotiations of these three countries with Brazil and South Africa to create their own currency with which to trade with each other directly and challenge the dominance of the northern currency have been in the news. In addition, the latest figures worldwide reveal that the use of the yuan has doubled in trade between countries. Specifically, it has gone from representing 2% of the entire market last year to 4.5% in 2023, according to Swift. Despite this, the status of the world's reserve currency of the greenback "is not in any danger," says Warren Buffett, as well as other experts, although with certain nuances. During the Berkshire Hathaway shareholders' meeting held this Saturday, the CEO of the conglomerate has made a statement that de-dollarization -that other countries reduce their dependence on the US dollar- does not represent a risk, since it is the reserve currency and not see "No option for another currency" to occupy that position. However, at the same time he has announced the dangers facing the US currency due to the monetary policy of the US Government. The billionaire is referring to his response to the beginning of the pandemic, when he receives stimulus checks to American households and financial aid to companies to keep the economy afloat. To do this, the US Federal Reserve (Fed) was dedicated to printing large amounts of money. This, combined with excessive spending, fueled inflation, a phenomenon that the country's central bank has been trying to control for months. In his opinion, what US citizens need right now is to be able to trust that their savings will maintain their value over time because, otherwise, they will have no reason to keep their money in the bank, among other things. things, according to Business Insider. De-dollarization is based on misconceptions Although Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and owner of Twitter, believes that the de-dollarization of the economy is a real threat, since China and other countries are taking steps to make it happen, experts consulted by the media agree with Buffett that there is little chance of this happening, mainly because this theory is based on misconceptions. The first of the false myths on which the de-dollarization hypothesis is based is that central banks are getting rid of the dollar as a reserve currency. Quite the contrary: despite having fallen 2.5 percentage points in one year, the greenback still represented 84.3% of the entire market in February, a figure much higher than that registered by other currencies. While the weight of the yuan stood at 4.5%, the euro represented around 6% of commercial transactions worldwide. In addition, its use as a means of international payment has remained stable over time. This is because it is the safest, most resistant and least volatile of all the currencies on the market. For all these reasons, it is very difficult to displace the dollar as a reserve currency, says Bob Stark, Kyriba's head of market strategy. Another of the misconceptions that are used is that the dollar is losing its position as the main currency to trade. It's not true either. According to data from the Bank for International Settlements, the US monetary unit was used in 88% of the 7.5 million currency transactions that took place until April 2022. "In the last 35 years, the proportion of the dollar has not changed," says Jay Zagorsky, a professor of markets at Boston University. It is true that the Chinese yuan has gained weight as a reserve currency -going from representing less than 1% in 2015 to 2.7% in the fourth quarter of 2022-, and that China has closed with other countries to carry out transactions in its local currency, as well as has sold billions of it to Russia. Even so, the impact of these efforts has not managed to keep it a very low figure when compared to the US dollar, whose global weight is 60%, according to data from the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Another thing is its potential to take over from the yen in Japan, the pound sterling in the United Kingdom or the euro in the European Union, Zagorsky points out. Also, there has been a lot of talk lately that the dollar could soon have a rival to match. Another myth, given that a process such as the de-dollarization of the economy requires time. According to Stark's calculations, it would take about 24 years for global dollar reserves to drop another 12%, and even then, it would still dominate the market. For Perry Mehrling, professor of economics at Boston University, the growing po[CENSORED]rity of de-dollarization theory responds to latent discontent in other countries that their currencies are "at the bottom of the international money hierarchy."Finally, there is the question of the disaster that would befall the US economy and stocks if the dollar ceased to be the reserve currency. This would not happen either, since the effects of a possible de-dollarization would be felt mainly by foreign banks, which do not have a great connection with the US financial ecosystem. At best, a fall in the greenback could serve as a trigger for foreign institutions to invest in Treasury bills, which would force the country to find new and different sources of financing. Few animals have the particularity of symbolizing a whole as kangaroos. There is no photograph of the Australian outback that does not include an image of this characteristic marsupial. Here are some of its most outstanding features: Kangaroos are among the largest marsupials in the world. Kangaroos belong to the macropodid subfamily, which includes, in addition to the kangaroos themselves, wallabies, wallarouses and other marsupials. Among the different species, there is one that holds the title of the largest marsupial on the planet. It is the red kangaroo (Osphranter Rufus). Males can reach almost two meters in length from head to tail and weigh more than 90 kilos. They can cover great distances in a single jump. A kangaroo can reach up to 3 times its own length in a single jump. These marsupials are also capable of running, but jumping allows them to move faster and save energy. In fact, they are the only large animals that move by jumping. The largest specimens reach up to 8 meters in a jump. You would have to take about 10 steps to cover the same distance. They have a powerful digestive system. It feeds mainly on grass and tree leaves. Unlike other herbivorous animals, they have a unique digestive system that allows them to digest plant fiber efficiently. Their stomach has four chambers, which helps them break down the cellulose in the grass and leaves they eat. The cecum facilitates bacterial fermentation of food, which they regurgitate and re-chew, helping them break down the cellulose and extract as many nutrients as possible. Their digestive system is very efficient, which allows them to survive in arid ecosystems with little vegetation. The hatchlings can remain dormant until the pouch is empty. The gestation period of kangaroos lasts about five weeks, after which they usually give birth to a single cub, which as soon as it is born makes its way with its forelimbs towards the mother's pouch, where it will live for several months. Because the initial period of development is so short, female kangaroos can become pregnant very quickly. Also, if they are carrying two pups at different stages of development at the same time, they can even produce two different types of milk at the same time to ensure that each pup receives the nutrients it needs at that time. And that's not all. If necessary, a female freezes the development of an embryo so as not to give birth again until a previous pup can emerge from its pouch, which in scientific terms is known as 'embryonic dispause'. It uses its tail as a fifth point The kangaroo tail is much more than a recommended. These marsupials are extremely muscular, so they use their tails for extra support when moving on all fours. In addition, it is strong enough to be able to support the entire body weight of a kangaroo when it "boxes" The word 'kangaroo' comes from the aboriginal language. Kangaroos are creatures closely linked to aboriginal culture. They are often depicted in ancient cave paintings, which can date back tens of thousands of years. The name 'kangaroo' comes from 'gangurru', which is the name given to eastern gray kangaroos by the Guuga Yimithirr Aboriginal people of Queensland. CSIC researchers show how the melting caused by the increase in temperature resulted in greater ocean emissions of mercury into the atmosphere in the region. The work reveals that mercury deposition on the Arctic ice surface tripled at the beginning of the Holocene compared to the last glacial cycle. Researchers have examined the relationship between past climate variations and mercury levels in the Arctic. /Pixabay An international study, co-directed by researchers from the Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC), shows that mercury levels in the Arctic increased in correspondence with the increase in temperature during the climate transition between the last glacial cycle and the Holocene (16,000- 10,000 years before present). In the current context of climate change, this work highlights the link between melting ice and the increase in natural emissions of mercury into the atmosphere and, therefore, with a greater risk for the ecosystems of the Arctic region. The results are published in the journal Nature Geoscience. Researchers have used ice cores from Greenland, as part of the international East Greenland Ice Core Project, to examine the relationship between past climate variations and mercury levels in the Arctic. The objective was to understand the natural sources that determine the biogeochemical cycle of mercury (a global pollutant and a toxic element for the nervous system of living beings). The results show that mercury levels in the Arctic increased during the transition from the last glacial cycle to the current climatic period, the Holocene (last 11,000 years), due to the reduction in ice cover caused by the region's increase. temperature. “This work reveals that the deposition of mercury on the surface of the Arctic ice tripled at the beginning of the Holocene compared to the last glacial cycle”, emphasizes the researcher from the Ca'Foscari University of Venice and first author of this work Delia Segato. “Thanks to the analysis and interpretation of paleoclimatic archives and the development of a numerical model of the atmospheric chemistry of mercury,” continues Segato, “we have concluded that the loss of Arctic ice due to global warming produced 11,700 years ago is the main cause of the increase of mercury deposition in Arctic ecosystems”. Greenland area where the ice core was extracted. / East Greenland Ice Core Project great environmental impact Mercury causes a great environmental impact as it is present both in the air (atmosphere) and in bodies of water (hydrosphere) and in living organisms (biosphere). It accumulates mainly in terrestrial ecosystems, especially in soils. Regarding its origin, mercury emissions into the atmosphere do not only have an anthropogenic origin, but the global mercury cycle is also controlled by natural sources, such as oceanic or volcanic emissions. "In the polar regions, sea ice plays a fundamental role in controlling natural mercury emissions into the atmosphere," explains Alfonso Saiz-López, a researcher at the Rocasolano Physical Chemistry Institute (IQFR-CSIC) and one of the two coordinators of this study. In fact, continues Saiz-López, "it has been shown that perennial ice, sometimes several meters thick, prevents the transfer of mercury from the ocean to the atmosphere, which otherwise occurs given the volatile nature of this metal." ”. Due to current global warming, the perennial ice extent in the Arctic has been reduced by more than 50% since the middle of the last century. "This work suggests that future Arctic melting may lead to a greater escape of mercury from the ocean into the atmosphere, with the consequent risk to Arctic po[CENSORED]tions and ecosystems," concludes Saiz-López. Have you ever witnessed a father or mother scolding their child for not playing well? Do you know a young person who has not dared to practice a sport for fear of being told that it is exclusively for boys or girls? Have you seen humiliation or insults to kids in a game? At Soria Noticias we immerse ourselves in the sports universe of the quarry to analyze these issues. Soria bets on sports. This relationship, which makes the province better, has left hundreds of pages full of successes, both individual and collective. Athletics World Champions and Olympic Games medalists of the stature of Abel Antón or Fermín Cacho; or feats in football with Numancia, in volleyball with the Duero River, or in figure skating with Héctor Díez in the European Championship, show how well things are being done in the province within this world. authorized voices But how do you get to these levels, even more so in a territory with so few inhabitants? The answer is clear: taking care of the base. Sports practice is encouraged from below, with thousands of federated children in the clubs. The provincial deputy for sports, Gustavo Marín, and the councilor of the City Council of the capital, Manu Salvador, also highlight the role of women's sports in recent years, "the number of athletes has grown thanks to entities such as San José, Río Duero or Sporting Santo Domingo”. In that, to continue advancing, both stress the importance of continuing to work, from their institutions, to carry out meaningful camps, attract Spanish championships or take care of the facilities. “Everyone will not be able to have an international success. The main thing, in these cases, is that they enjoy sport from a very young age”, explains Marín, because it is health. However, the representative of the provincial institution also points out that certain aspects must be improved. He believes that a way must be found so that "rural homegrown players have the same chances of practicing the discipline they want as the rest". With this institutional point of view, another of the aspects that emerge with greater importance within this report is psychological, and how sport can influence when it comes to shaping the personality of players at younger ages. In this sense, Nora Barranco, a sports psychology professor, associated with the UVa on the 'Duques de Soria' Campus, gives us certain clues: “At an educational level it directly affects. When we do sports, we secrete a series of substances that reduce anxiety, a situation that makes our attention more effective. In the same way, they can extrapolate the tenacity with which they play in their teams to the school environment”. At the same time, it highlights that this universe influences them when it comes to learning values. In this regard, Barranco emphasizes that athletes like Rafa Nadal, Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi have been an example for an entire generation, setting themselves up as role models in terms of effort and work to reach the top. In short, this professional of the human mind points out that these activities are more related than we think to the conductive, cognitive and social levels (the latter in relation to meeting more people and making more friends as children). Nobility From this, we dive into our first block, related to the nobility within supposedly violent disciplines. Here, the president of the Numancia Boxing Club, Reda Brahmi Azouiar, recalls that, "despite the fact that this discipline was frowned upon before, because the trainers were not qualified, we have evolved a lot, especially when it comes to working with children" . In this direction, he emphasizes that from a very young age they are taught that it is a form of contact, "although many times it would not be missing, since most of them tend to be very calm, sporty and know how to separate themselves." In this case, the representative of the entity affirms that this sport serves very well for "the educational part, by reducing anxiety in training." In the same way, but in another discipline, Erika García, a player for Alevín A from San José, explains that the role of coaches is essential to eradicate violence in soccer, “teaching us to be good and educated people, to develop a fair game and to treat the teammates of the other teams and the referees well”. Precisely, among those technicians is a multifunctional, Manu Salvador (player and coach). With numerous experiences behind him, Salvador thinks that, through sport, violence and other activities are avoided: "While you do something positive, you stay away from things that at that age can be problematic." In this sense, he advises against punishing children by not attending training sessions or matches because, "in addition to the fact that there is time for everything, here we promote values such as effort and punctuality that can come in very handy." respect the rival On the other hand, another issue that is gaining a lot of prominence in recent times within youth sports is the number of goals or baskets. In this regard, there are more and more voices that ask that they stop counting from a certain number as a way of respecting the rival. In this case, our psychologist shows that at these ages "you have to be consistent with the fact that what is promoted is enjoyment, cooperation or camaraderie, it cannot be that the most important value is the goal". Being in favor of setting a limit, this coincides with the statements of Erika García and Jonander Hernández, a member of Calasanz, who stress that counting should stop "because if not the other team will be upset and pass it on very badly, losing so much, which they don't deserve”. For his part, the figure of the referee has a lot to say on this issue, being in charge of validating the goals. In this context, Víctor Romera, a member of the Soriana Delegation, considers that after 12 he cannot go up to the light: “You have to find a formula so that they do not leave sad. Here the result is the least important. My soul falls to the ground when I see them leave crying and unmotivated. Within the range of possibilities, the CSB player, Jara Guallar, proposes to do something similar to what happens in the children's basketball categories, ceasing to count baskets from 50 points apart, "all to prioritize the enjoyment of the Players Present". After this alternative, Guallar herself stays with us to talk about another very hot issue at the moment: the existing prejudices in sport and the labels attached to certain practices. In this regard, it should be remembered that not so many years ago it was very difficult to find a boy in skating or gymnastics, while it was also extremely rare to see girls in soccer or basketball teams. However, fortunately this trend has changed, definitively incorporating women's sport in the province. For this reason, Jara, Erika or the boxer who is only 8 years old, Iris Martínez, show their joy at "seeing that more and more girls are taking the step, creating authentic families". However, a more than authoritative voice, the coach and coordinator of the Soria Gymnastics Club, Virginia Hernández, indicates that there is still a long way to go, since, "for example, in the case of rhythmic there are no international men's championships." Despite this, from the Soria entity they opted for this genre, currently having four male members whom colleagues such as Noelia Colás consider essential: “It cannot only be a sport for girls due to flexibility. They have very good abilities to perform.” With all this, a clear example of breaking barriers, eliminating any type of label is the brand new skater from Soriano, Héctor Díez. In this regard, this World and European champion alludes that it is true that when he started most of them were girls, "but that didn't matter to me because the only thing I focused on was a sport that I liked, regardless of the general trend that existed. We all have the right to enjoy the modality we like”. Through this allegation, we immerse ourselves in another of the factors that can most affect young people: the behavior of parents in the stands. Parents On this, there is no better voice than that of the referee, with 20 years of experience, Víctor Romera. This, after having experienced "unfortunate" episodes in various Soria fields due to the attitude of relatives in the stands, emphasizes that "this behavior must be eradicated as soon as possible, and kicked out of the stadiums because they are only going to insult and provoke ”. In accordance with these statements, the psychologist affirms that "children can take these examples, imitating the behaviors of some figures that will be one of the most important in their lives." For all this, our five young athletes, Erika, Jara, Noelia, Iris and Jonander, show their rejection of these attitudes, asking that they be allowed to enjoy what really matters, which is nothing other than what happens on the fields. of football, of the tracks or of the tapestries. In this way, all of them dream of following in the footsteps of a Manu Salvador or a Héctor Díez, no longer for breaking down the door of professional sports and succeeding, but for the values of effort, camaraderie or respect that they have promoted in their respective careers. . Getting to the top is not as important as enjoying a path that will be essential when it comes to training the people of the future. In it, family members, coaches and referees will continue to be essential. Link: https://sorianoticias.com/noticia/2023-05-05-mucho-mas-que-ganar-el-deporte-como-motor-educativo-99924

The 'Actuar Por Lo Vivo' event, held in Medellín this week, reflects on holistic productivity models, systemic health and new democracies EL PAÍS offers the América Futura section open for its daily and global informative contribution on sustainable development. If you want to support our journalism, subscribe here. “What would happen if we built economics on ethics? Different employment models, other ways of producing... We are very used to doing things very alone, with distrust of politicians and business actors. But alone, none of the sectors will be able to build the alternatives that society needs”. With these words, Claudio Madaune reflected this Thursday in one of the twelve conversations of the Actuar por lo vivo festival, held at the Museum of Modern Art in Medellín, from April 26 to May 6. The Chilean permaculture expert and project coordinator at the Norwegian NGO Change the World questioned whether progress implies growth at all costs, the individual role of each citizen and regeneration. The regenerative economy was one of the key concepts of this talk. This relatively recently coined term, which is based on the principles of restoration, is based on returning a system or product to its original state or even an improved state. In the words of María Alejandra González, professor of management and social responsibility at Eafit University: “These are processes that require healing. With this word we already recognize the wound that we are causing to the ecosystems; there is something damaged and we have to cure it”. Arturo Escobar, one of the great anthropologists and thinkers of the country, during his presentation this Friday, added a reflection of a Bolivian thinker who said: "We have to think about modernity without ceasing to be Indians." For the caleño, the pursuit of economic growth is what created inequality and the dismantling of the environment. "In post-development or good living, everything alive and all those beliefs of the indigenous communities are definitely a great main actor." And he added: “Humanity has wondered about colonization, modernity, US imperialism and identity. The question now is about praxis. What do we do as intellectuals? The meeting, sponsored by an alliance between Comfama, the publishing house Actes Sud, and Comuna: faire cause commune, has more than 40 national and international guests: scientists, activists, companies concerned about their impact, and entrepreneurs who have made a “big scale” on a small scale. revolution". This is how Isabel Codavid, managing ecologist of Agromandala, defined a circular farm located in Fredonia, Antioquia, which grows, harvests and sells fresh food free of pesticides for 80 families. “Companies are based on the decisions we make as consumers. It is true that not all of us can be farmers, but we all eat," he explained in front of fifty people who attended as audience. For David Escobar Arango, director of Comfama, it is very important that these types of events take place outside the offices of great leaders. “We propose an integrating look between different professions and disciplines. We seek to inhabit a conversation, generate reflection and make people leave with questions. This is a platform for civil society to also organize and carry out projects”. Another of the key points is, precisely, talking about regeneration. “For a long time there was talk about the conservation of what had not yet been damaged, after sustainability. But for me that is like going out to tie. Regeneration is going out to win”. For her part, María Adelaida Correa, ISA's director of Sustainability, added: “Our purpose is to leave a legacy that generates awareness, inspires, transforms and transcends for generations. We are convinced that the best footprint is the protection of biodiversity and the mitigation of climate change. Today, as companies and as people, we are called to work for regenerative development, mobilize our management towards the use of resources that guarantee the well-being of communities and build resilience for the environment, while generating support for the needs of the future ” . New democracies, economies for regeneration and systemic and planetary health are the three pillars on which a festival of French origin held for the second time in Latin America is based. Isabelle Delannoy, specialist in sustainable development; Hugo Jamioy, poet from the Kamsá indigenous people; Martín von Hildebrand, anthropologist and founder of the Gaia Amazonas Foundation; Juliette Rousseau, editor of Le Commun (French publisher that publishes women's poetry)... are some of the experts who, in a didactic and participatory way, are thinking out loud and looking for ways to inhabit the planet in a coherent way. think of solutions Today few dare to deny climate change and its impacts. The rise in sea level, deforestation, the extinction of species, droughts and disasters... But in this festival, the question is another: What can we do? The focus of the talks is purposeful and hopeful. David Escobar prefers the term “possibilism”: “We do not want to fall into irrational optimism or pessimism. There are some challenges, we put them on the table and face them. If we do all we can do at the right time, maybe we will build a better world." The festival, according to the director, seeks to weave collaborative networks between regional, national and international audiences, to generate specific transformation actions around cross-cutting issues. As Delannoy reflected in the discussion From extractive to regenerative economies for an era of new abundance: "We have to find a way to look each other in the eye and understand each other." Dogs are very perceptive when it comes to evaluating human behavior. A new study affirms that they know how to distinguish when a human is "clumsy" or "selfish", especially females. Have you ever messed up in front of your dog and it makes sense that he would look at you as if to say “how clumsy is this human”? They are not your imagination: a study carried out by psychologists from Kyoto University has concluded that dogs know how to assess the skill or clumsiness of people when performing a task, as well as whether they are generous or selfish with them; and that females are especially perceptive in these aspects. THE FOOD EXPERIMENT In the experiment, two people tried to open a transparent container with food inside in front of several dogs (30 in total). One of the people opened it with ease, while the other pretended to have trouble opening it. The process was then repeated with two other containers, so that the dogs were clear that the "problem" was not that one container was more difficult to open, but that one of the people was more skilled than the other. You have a special issue of National Geographic on pets for sale. You can buy it here. When the test was carried out with the third container, the dogs already seemed to have a clear idea of which of the two was the more skilled human: the animals stared longer at the person who seemed to be more "competent", knowing that this person would open with ease the container; on the contrary, with the "incompetent" person it already seemed clear after a few seconds that he was not going to be able to open it. Throughout the experiment, the researchers also found that females are especially perceptive when it comes to assessing "clumsiness": when it was already clear which was the competent human, females fixed on him longer and tended to ignore them sooner. to the "clumsy" human, regarding what the males did, who seemed to maintain a certain trust in him. GENEROUS OR SELFISH HUMANS The researchers say that this is not the first time that similar behavior has been observed in dogs and refer to a previous study, which found that dogs can recognize when a human is generous or selfish towards them and modify their behavior accordingly. In this experiment, the behavior of three groups (puppies, adult dogs with a family, and adult dogs in a shelter) was compared with respect to two people who offered them food: one of them (“generous experimenter”) showed them their food and immediately let them eat, while the other (“selfish experimenter”) showed them the bowl but ate something himself before allowing the dogs to eat. A second test was then conducted in which the dogs could decide whether to feed them the “generous” or the “selfish” person. The dogs, especially the females, reacted more quickly and enthusiastically with the humans they judged to be more trustworthy. The results showed a clear learning: while in the first test the dogs showed no preference between the two experimenters - indeed, some were even more enthusiastic about the "selfish" experimenter -, in the second the adult dogs seemed to have learned which was the most generous human and went to him preferentially, in addition to having a shorter reaction time: the animals with families took one second longer to react when the "selfish" experimenter called them compared to the "generous" experimenter, and two seconds longer when the case of shelter animals. On the contrary, the pups did not show such a significant difference between the two experiments, and the latency (the time they waited to approach after receiving permission to eat) between the first and second tests was practically the same. This difference in behavior can be attributed to the greater experience of adult dogs, especially in the case of shelter dogs, which have reasons to be more suspicious of selfish behaviors from humans. DOGS ADJUST THEIR BEHAVIOR ACCORDING TO NEED Based on the results of these two experiments, the researchers conclude that dogs know how to form an opinion about a human's skill level and possibly adjust their behavior by trusting more of those they judge to be more "competent." This is related to the fact that, as pets, their level of well-being depends on their caretaker. Skill, however, is not everything: being animals that live in a community, their well-being depends on a balance between the skill of their keepers and their behavior towards them: the authors mention other studies in which dogs have shown likely to spend more time with humans who are generous with them, even if they are not skilled, than with those who are more skilled but do not pay as much attention to them. Dogs' preference for people they judge to be more "competent" intensifies in situations of need, such as when they lack food or water. The authors also point out that these behaviors can be adjusted to the situation of need and mention an interesting observation that other authors have made: they observed that dogs tend to spend more time near the person who normally fills their food bowl when the person is empty or when mealtime approaches, while the rest of the time it does not show such a marked predilection between the different inhabitants of the house. These preferences are also shown when carrying out specific activities, such as playing or walking: dogs tend to approach first the person who performs these activities with them on a regular basis or who offers them a better experience. This seems to show that dogs can divide their appraisal of a person in a particular environment and show a "segmented" preference depending on the situation. BMW's desire to continue improving its motorcycles continues to be the order of the day. The Germans do not stop bringing new features to their motorcycles, such as the adaptive cooling system, or the mobile wings for their motorcycles. In this effort, the latest invention of the German house for its future motorcycles is a longitudinally adjustable seat. That is, a passenger seat that would allow the passenger seat to be opened or hidden in an easy and simple way. It's the first time anyone has patented something like this in modern motorcycle history... And it could certainly be quite useful. The second seat would be stored under the main one in a matter of seconds If someone is at the forefront of innovation in the field of motorcycles, that brand is precisely BMW. With their models setting the course (such as the future GS 1300) they have the necessary departments and resources to work on ideas like the one we see here today. A registered patent indicating that they are already working on a longitudinally adjustable seat. This system would make it possible to have one or two seats on the motorcycle, switching between them easily and quickly. Because until now there is no brand that offers a retractable seat: either they are single-seaters or two-seaters, or you removed the rear seat and put a tail cover. how would it work Initially, an electronic device has two seat parts, which are independent. The front part is always fixed, and the second seat is hidden under it. It slides open and would even include a backrest, which gives us the small idea that it could be a travel motorcycle and not a system designed for sports or naked. It is also specified that the drive could be manual, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic; Not even BMW is clear at the moment and apparently, they are considering the four possibilities. The saddle could have several intermediate adjustments in its travel, which would also allow adjustment of the rider's ergonomics when riding solo. And of course, it would have a lock to prevent it from moving during the trip. The front part of the seat will be rigid or elastic, while the second part or seat would be designed to be reversible and non-destructively elastic for this purpose, so that it can deform, in particular fold, when the adjuster of the saddle is adjusted, without being damaged", they point out in the patent. In this case, the objective would be to extend the useful life of the seat and that it does not break as it is constantly opened and closed. The avenues, tree-lined avenues and parks of Seville have been invaded by the color of the jacarandas in bloom, a true spectacle to behold. Spring has exploded in Seville, because although it is an excessive verb, everything at this time in the Seville capital is. The city explodes with light, color and smells in a particular way, making Sevillians and visitors fall in love with it. After the celebrations of the two big festivals in Seville, the citizens will once again walk its streets calmly and quietly and will have noticed to their surprise that certain enclaves are dyed purple. The avenues, tree lined avenues and parks have been invaded by the color of the jacarandas in bloom, a true spectacle to behold. The flowering of the jacaranda, which occurs twice a year in autumn and spring, leaves beautiful prints in Seville. The jacaranda is, together with the bitter orange tree, the species that distinguishes and most singularises the tree heritage of the city. In addition, its flower has an unmistakable violet-blue color. This is a typical tree of intertropical and subtropical America and is also known as 'jacaranda', 'jacaranda', 'gualanday' or 'tarco'. In particular, 'Jacarandá' is a name of Tupi origin (region close to the Amazon jungle) which means fragrant. It is distributed in Brazil, Bolivia, Paraguay, Uruguay, and also in the north and northeast of Argentina. In addition, it is one of the distinctive indigenous trees of the Argentine city of Buenos Aires, although it is not an autochthonous tree species. The flowering of the jacaranda occurs twice a year in autumn and spring ABC Every year around this time, the writer and journalist Antonio Burgos dedicates one of his articles to this spectacular flowering that goes hand in hand with many of the city's traditions: «The joyful news is that, as a surprise, just like every year, the jacarandas are already in bloom. They announce a secret city of processions of His Divine Majesty organized by the sacramentals of the neighborhoods; of novenas del Rocío with the rocketry that we listened to yesterday; preparations for Corpus Christi, with the candlesticks already in place in the Plaza de San Francisco and in El Salvador; of the other candles, those of the streets, which will soon be extended to preserve the solarium and create what is now called a microclimate. Just as the orange tree asks for narrow streets, the jacarandas ask for wide and long avenues on which to see, from afar, the beauty of its purple canopy, and I once again recommend that you be entranced by its beauty on María Luisa avenue contemplated from the Caballo del Cid towards the river, a prodigy", and it is that, the writer points out, since the jacarandas have a slightly sweet smell, they almost seemed like honey "every year, they smell like the most refined Seville dreamed of". Seville is full of curiosities, it is one of those places that always has something to discover. Hidden squares, narrow streets with legends, tiles with particular history, columns of ancient Roman temples, or churches that keep authentic treasures inside or on their façade. Along these lines, for a few weeks ABC de Sevilla has made a stop along the way among the news to inquire about certain curious or unknown facts. If a few weeks ago we stopped to tell the story of an olive tree brought from Jerusalem itself, located in the Fontecruz 'Los Seises' hotel, this time we did not stray far from the historic center to talk about a very unique tree. If, as we began by saying in this report, Seville has been covered in a purple tide that has colored many corners with its jacarandas purple-blue, there is a species of this same tree that does not have that color. Instead of having the usual color, this specimen has its white flowers, trying to shade the orange blossom that has already disappeared from the orange trees. Those who want to come to enjoy this unique and 'discreet' jacaranda tree should visit the old Royal Tobacco Factory of Seville, the seat of the rectory of the University of Seville. This has been pointed out on Twitter by this Sevillian. In general, the flowers of the jacarandas, in the form of a cluster, are violet-blue in color and tubular in shape, like the famous Jacaranda mimosifolia, but in some species their color varies, towards pink in some, and white in a few. It is an ovalifolia jacaranda with white flowers, which was planted in 2018 in the gardens of the Tobacco Factory. This jacaranda is unique in the color of its flowers, since the white flowers in this species are a botanical rarity that gives it exceptional value. According to the University of Seville, there is no data that there is another specimen with white flowers in Europe, with which its conservation in our city has a precious value. It is not the first location that this tree with white flowers has had, the specimen was located to date at the Guadaira University Hall of Residence, on Avenida de La Palmera, where it has received the necessary care and attention and has been recognized at all times. its value. The reasons for the transfer are the carrying out of a work in the gardens of the Center, for which the Management of the Residence Hall has decided to transfer this tree to the University of Seville. We will have to enjoy them while they last, as Pablo Milanés already did: «Oh, my jacaranda/ When the end comes/ What palm tree is going to contemplate you?/ What bougainvillea is going to bless you?/ From the eyes that cry for you».
