In 23 ianuarie 2013, exista peste 110 campioni din care jucatorii pot sa aleaga. Fiecare echipa incepe dintr-o parte diferita a mapei, intr-o zona numita Spawning Pool, langa Nexus. Echipa castigatoare este aceea care distruge Nexus-ul echipei adverse. Pentru a distruge Nexus-ul, fiecare echipa trebuie sa munceasca din greu pentru a distruge Turnurile echipei adverse care sunt pozitionate de-a lungul mapei pe diferite Lane-uri pentru a apara baza. De-a lungul drumului fiecare player primeste level omorand-usi adversarii sau Minionii echipei adverse (NPC-uri care se spawneaza continuu si ataca echipa adversa) sau omorand monstrii neutri.
