AMD today announced the launch of the new Radeon Pro W5500 graphics card. It delivers exceptional performance, packed with essential features designed to meet the high expectations of professionals. AMD also announced the mobile version of this card; the Radeon Pro W5500M is designed for the next generation of mobile workstations.

Among the most important features of the Radeon Pro W5500 graphics card are:

Outstanding multi-tasking performance – Provides up to 10 times better performance in terms of application fluidity, according to the benchmark performed in SPECviwperf 13.
Real-World Energy Efficiency – The combination of the energy efficiency of the AMD RDNA architecture and the Radeon Pro Software for Enterprise platform allows the graphics card to increase the level of performance for the most effective running of professional applications, while consuming 32% less energy compared to competing products.
Professional-grade software – Radeon Pro Software for Enterprise delivers performance improvements with each new release. The platform also supports AMD Remote Workstation, allowing professionals to access their workstations from anywhere. The Radeon Pro W5500 graphics card will be available in mid-February for a suggested retail price of $399. The Radeon Pro WX5500M graphics chip will also be available in mobile workstations starting in spring 2020. The new cards are based on AMD’s latest architecture, called RDNA, combined with GDDR6 memory. The Radeon Pro W5500 delivers 25% more performance-per-clock compared to the previous generation, which used the Graphics Next Core (GCN) architecture.
