She received international fame for winning the 2008 season of the talent show Talang, the Swedish version of Got Talent. Zara signed with the TEN Music Group label in 2010 and released her first extended play Introducing in January 2013. The single "Uncover" topped the charts in Sweden and Norway. Both the single "Uncover" as well as the Introducing EP were certified triple platinum in July 2013 by Universal Music Sweden. Zara also signed a three-year deal with Epic Records in the US in April 2013. Larsson was featured in 2016 for singing the official theme song for the UEFA Euro 2016 held in France, alongside David Guetta. In 2017, she won "Artist of the Year" at the Swedish Grammis Awards. Larsson was born at Karolinska University Hospital, located in the city of Stockholm in Sweden, as the daughter of Agnetha and Anders Larsson. In an interview with Svenska Dagbladet, she said that she was born "dead" due to lack of oxygen from the nuchal cord. She has a younger sister, Hanna, who is also a singer and member of the band Lennixx. In a 2015 interview, Larsson said that she was accepted into Adolf Fredrik's School of Music, but turned it down because she didn't want to sing in a choir.
