Independiente del Valle will build a complex in Esmeraldas
sports center with similar characteristics to the one that exists in the city of Quito, which will allow young people from Esmeraldas to have better opportunities as athletes.

The independent Club del Valle has a presence in a large part of the country's cities, due to the fact that its objective is to become a sports benchmark in South America in the lower category. This time the decision was to bet on Esmeraldas with the construction of a high-performance sports complex with luxury infrastructure. Franklin Tello, president of Independiente del Valle, in his statements to Diario La Hora, said that the decision was made because Esmeraldas has traditionally been the "quarry" of players who have left the country's name high.

To launch this project, the Independent acquired a property of more than 4 hectares, in the Tonsupa parish. The property currently has several sports fields. Within the planning of the project, the construction of a modern infrastructure with first class courts, swimming pools, gymnasium, medical center, dining rooms and residence for the players is planned.

"Our commitment today as a Sports Club is to contribute to all those young people who do not have the opportunity to have a better quality of life." In the first phase of the project, according to Tello, adjustments will be made to the existing infrastructure, such as sanitary arrangements, masonry, painting of the location and maintenance of the courts. For this, the club plans an investment of $90,000.

The idea is that thanks to the first stage, the school in Esmeraldas can start working on the fields. And that more young people can have the opportunity to enroll. The second stage is not yet defined, but the amount of the budget will be much higher. The operation of the sports school will be similar to the others, where the players have full access to all the infrastructure, including food, at no cost. As the young people integrate, they will be divided by categories. And only those who qualify for their talent will be able to live in the club residence.

The sports club will admit children and young people from the age of 9 onwards, who will have the support of the Club throughout their sports career as well as access to a better formal education.

The construction of the headquarters, both the workforce and the plant personnel will be from Esmeraldas, the idea is that this complex becomes a contribution to improve employment opportunities for the people of Esmeraldas, as reported by the president of the Club in the statements of the.

"The most important thing here is the future, what lies ahead, the decision that the Club has made to set up a satellite infrastructure for the first time in Esmeraldas with the same parameters with which we operate today in Quito."
