Coupe SUVs are all the rage, especially among premium manufacturers. Taking advantage of the trend, the Genesis GV80 Coupe Concept has just been presented, a prototype of the Korean luxury brand that is very close to production. It could become a reality in the next few years, since it is an approach to more emotional and performance-oriented models.

It is a copy that is inspired by the previous X Speedium Coupe Concept, although it is reinterpreted in a much more faithful and realistic way. The truth is that Genesis began with models of a more traditional cut, with sedans focused on luxury and with some SUVs that adapted to the trend. Although in recent times they are showing their potential in other fields and have made it clear that they do not wrinkle with new bodies and styles. The GV80 Coupé Concept is the perfect example of this.

It achieves this with a well recognizable front thanks to its lighting signature with the quad headlights and also a generous grill. It is very sporty thanks to the shapes of the bumper or the generous air intakes that ensure proper cooling. It is clear that it is a prototype seeing its huge black wheels or the carbon roof, although what stands out the most is the rear. There you see the coupe shapes from the drop of the roof to that dovetail style spoiler that furthers its aerodynamic performance.

Its striking four-seater interior is not far behind, all of them made up of two separate bucket-type sports seats. They have a carbon fiber backrest painted in body color and match the seat belts or upholstery details. Also striking is the rear bar that serves to provide extra rigidity in a model that has a clear sporty focus. The truth is that not many more details of the Genesis GV80 Coupé Concept have been given, but it points to high performance and also production sooner rather than later.
